Crappy service. Don’t expect nothing more than a middle finger if you plan on getting internet through this company. See email below for more info. What is going with the techs? ACS should be ashamed of how they’re ripping people off at about the 10 mile Chena Hot Springs area. For 20 years they’ve been charging $70 a month for 7 mb Wi-Fi. They are tiny towns in Alaska that have adequate Wi-Fi but here we are only a few miles from Fairbanks and we have basically nothing. For years they’ve been telling us it’s coming it’s coming. With absolutely no results whatsoever.
Would not recommend it. Terrible customer service with long wait names who would never solve my issues. They ended up having two accounts for one household, so one account was on autopay the other was their issues that apparently were never paid. They ended up shutting my account, despite paying it off. And now they say I owe over 2k because of there accounts were never paid due to their terrible accounting system. This business is absolutely ridiculous. someone called to disconnect their home internet, they disconnected my internet instead. They say you are supposed to answer verification questions before they take action on your account. This led me to believe my account had been hacked. Nope, called the # that the person called from and they were another customer of ACS. As you wait on hold the music is interrupted by a voice (every 20 seconds) saying “your call is very important to us please stay on the line”. I find this hard to believe. If anyone from Alaska Communication reads this you need to fix your customer communications, no one should be on hold for longer then 20 minutes. If your hold time exceeds this all Managers, supervisor and Management should have there phones diverted to handle the calls.
Anyone else just feel lonely and call ACS to sit on hold for 60 minutes? … 🥸. I haven’t had services with ACS in years and attempted to set something up February 2021. Alas, after a week of trying to reach an actual human I set services up online and the technician came out 4 days later. Turns out (after all that) we didn’t have ACS wireless capabilities in our area. They refunded us the $188 and I haven’t heard from them since. My aunt is dying and requesting to have her phone line fixed and have Internet service fixed because she’s been in the hospital and yET to come out and fix it!! As her caregiver and responsible for her care if anything happens I will be charging you with negligence of care of your service as she is in a spotty area for cell service.
