WItress was inexperienced - got our order wrong - we were seated in the bar area and it was very loud. Would not go back.

Food was only ok - dining room had a moderate fishy smell and the AC was blasting from the floor vents. Service was good but we will not return.

Very disappointing New Year's Eve dinner. My husband and I had an 8:15 reservation and we got there early to have a drink at the bar. The restaurant was packed, but it is usually packed on weekends. The holiday menu was prix fixe so it would seem to not be all that taxing. After our cocktail, we were put at a table in the bar and it was so loud, we had difficulty hearing each other speak. My wife and I dined at Alexander’s four years ago and enjoyed the experience. Not so, last night, we were rushed through, food was poorly prepared especially my baked flounder with crab...it was tasteless and dry. Very poor experience!

Butternut squash soup was served barely lukewarm. Since Richard couldn’t be bothered to check on our table, sending it back was not an option. It was probably the worst service we have ever experienced at a “fine dining” restaurant. We really want to like this place, but we won’t be going back.
