Not a good night at Alexander’s. Seating was in a place where they forgot about us! Drinks took along time to get. Once we received our drink, I told the man who delivered it to me thank you and he makes a great Low country mule. He quickly corrected me...”I’m NOT the bartender, I’M the manager... EXCUSE ME! Gee... I had flounder and my husband had the grouper. Very bland. Thank goodness for the sauce. So unfortunate! The best part of the meal was the calamari appetizer. My Caesar salad was overdressed, had overripe tomatoes and had no croutons. My entree was stone cold when it arrived. The steak was overdone and over seasoned. My server never asked how our meals were and did not noticed that I did not eat either the salad or entree. But, we had a great bottle of wine.

Fried green tomatoes was served burnt and scallops were overcooked and were served cold. Service was poor & felt the employees could care less about making sure we were welcome. We had to even ask for refills on our beverage. We did visit this restaurant a month ago & it was night & day on everything. Based on this experience, the food and service was not worth what we paid and we definitely would not recommend nor will we return.

Beautiful restaurant & ambience, the manager was really nice, personable & welcoming. However, A/C was way too much. I love it cool-but we were freezing! The food was terrible overall. The calamari had an overwhelming wasabi flavor, the grilled grouper was too salty & my husband’s schnitzel was dried out & they dumped a bunch of salty gravy on top. Upon arriving the manager was very rude to us. Three of us from the same household were standing together at the hostess desk and he approached us in an agitated manner and said ‘we can’t have this’ referring to the 3 of us waiting for our table. He shooed us into another room to wait with a total lack of courtesy. The food was mediocre. Our steaks were well done despite being ordered as medium. The lobster was rubbery.
