Don't normally do reviews other than to give positive reviews. Couldn't get reservation to Alexander's last time at HHI, so made online a week in advance. Showed up on time. Seated promptly. Then sat for 38 minutes. Someone did drop of bread and maitre d' did take drink order. Ordered some of the specialty cocktails which were subpar. Finally server showed up. He seemed rushed. Really disappointed. Prime rib was over cooked and tough. Lobster was highlight. Filet mignon also over cooked and average. Food was below average and especially when weighed against the cost! Which was very high. Service was pretty good but the food left the overall experience at 2 stars....and that is generous.

Had to wait 45 minutes for our entree after our first course of soup. Restaurant needs renovation since you can barely see out of the windows on the canal.
Not a fan of sticking string beans and carrot sticks in liquidy mashed potatoes and then placing the flounder on top. One silly disgusting mess. Very poor display.

My husband had a very small piece of veal while our friend had a piece that was twice as large. He won't go back to Alexander's as a result. Unfortunate....
Have been to this establishment multiple times and every time was great, but our dining experience Tues 9/8 was terrible. Food was OK, but the service was horrible. The time it took to be greeted was unacceptable, drink refills were nowhere to be found, our server didn’t check back after dinner was served until we were done, we wanted a glass of wine with dinner- but again our server never checked back.
