Very rushed dinner. I would not consider this a fine dining experience. Food was good, not great. There are so many other spots on the island that do it better. This was our first time trying Alexander’s. We won’t be back. Walked in and out in 62 minutes. Absolutely nothing stood out or was memorable.

Disappointed that the 5:00 to 5:45 pm specials were discontinued. Major draw for me.

We've been to Alexander's previously and really enjoyed it. This time we chose to sit at the bar. The ambiance and conversation with other patrons was great. The oysters Alexander were tasty and generous.. The downside was miscommunication with the bartender. My husband and I were talking amongst ourselves about our dinner selections and the bartender placed an order based on our conversation without asking us if we were ready to order. Filet mignon was tenderized, smothered in a red wine demi-glaze. and generally devoid of taste. Wiener Schnitzel tasted odd; less than a traditional recipe. Low Country Crab Soup was good with a decent amount of crab bits in the soup. Environment was noisy; a lot of hard surfaces for sound to reverberate. Service felt rushed.

The main problem was the service. The waiter delivered our drinks and took our water and didn’t stop at our table again for 35 to 40 minutes. I had to flag someone down to find out where our entrées were the manager right she comped us each glass of wine, and brought a small salad to hold us over until our food was prepared.
