Alexander’s can learn from the Sunrise Cafe on Hilton Head. My waiter never once cleaned my table after a course. Eventually, someone did come by and took the used dishes away. While the manager and others were very good, the waiter was absent. At sunrise cafe no empty plates are left as they are secured by the first person who comes along and the attention to the customer is extraordinary. Waitress very matter of fact. Where we had been seated was awful due to the setting of the sun. The window was full of sun and low shining into our eyes. When we asked if we could close the wooden blind. Our waitress new it was bothering us as we were eating and told us that the blinds were broken and they will get replaced this year when you have the money this year to get new ones! Food was bland. One could get a much better meal and experience at Bonefish Grill.

We couldn’t figure out what took so long between courses. The restaurant was 1/3 full. Must assume there was a special event that was taking all the attention away from the diners. Frustrating.

The is always mediocre so even tough. Is a pretty restaurant, conveniently located, with decent service, it is never among our top choices

My wife and I had dinner at Alexander’s two nights ago. We waited over 45 minutes for our entree and were never told about the delay in advance due to a large group. My wife had prime rib and I had Wiener schnitzel. Both meals were poor at best. Finally our check had a charge for an item we did not order. Considering the positive reviews for Alexander’s we had the worst meal we have ever had in Hilton Head.

My wife’s blackened Grouper which was the daily special did not taste at all as if it was blackened... in fact it tasted “fishy” and not fresh and full of bones!
