Would advise against making a later reservation. We were rushed through our meal. Felt like we were at a diner not a restaurant with surf and turf.

We have been very happy in the past with the food, service - everything, about Alexanders until our visit last night with 2 other couples. RE: the Baked Flounder Imperial, our supposed Early Bird Menu was no such thing, however, the flounder selection on the menu said it had crab in it, one of the reasons why 2 people in our party ordered it. Haven’t been to Alexander’s for years and the restaurant has aged. It could use some updating, painting etc. As far as the food, I had the special fish of the day which was very salty and had a few bones in it. For the price it was a big disappointment. My daughter had the chicken which was good and no complaints. Overall, we wouldn’t go back. To many other good restaurants on the island.

Appetizer came out lukewarm. Entrees, prime rib was nearly inedible. We asked what they meant by medium vs medium rare. Chose medium based on the description. What came out did not resemble a slice of prime rib. Looked more like a chunk of a saddle and tasted similarly. Beef was tough and poorly seasoned and cold. Broccolini was cold and displayed on the plate haphazardly. We did not send the entrees back due to fear of a “revenge meal”. Very nice service but were sorely disappointed in the food

First time visit. Not a fan at all. Server we good, but the rest of the experience was lackluster. At this high price point, I expect much more.

Very poor service. Table was not served bread when all other tables were. It took a long time for food to arrive. When prime rib arrived, it was extremely overcooked and tough to eat. My group was also disappointed in the lack of variety for wine by glass options considering a tag for the restaurant is a “wine bar”. A positive from the meal- the crab soup tasted great.
