Alexander's has unique view on the lagoon and our waiter was wonderful, however we were very disappointed in the food. My husband called ahead a day before to let the restaurant know he needed a vegan option. He was very exited about what the choices would be. When we arrived there were no choices. The manager came over and asked what type of vegetables my husband liked. They made him a pasta dish with a few veggies tossed in oil. It was very bland with no flavor what so ever. Waitress was rude, would not lower blinds for blinding sun light at our table.

Thank you for the reply, sorry we were rude about the blinds and it sounds like it ruined your meal. Unfortunately all the strings from the blinds were taken off due to a law passed by the State of South Carolina. The blinds do not move up or down. If you would like to dine with us again I would love to personally choose a table that does not have sunlight and you will still be able to see the water view. Food was dry (Schnitzel). The service was awful, from getting water to a drink, the waitress kept forgetting everything. When we asked a second time for bread or water or salt and pepper, it was like the first time she heard us ask. All drinks were delivered one at a time. We asked for sauce on the side of one dish and it arrived with sauce. I come to Hilton Head every year and will never go back. So many other great Restaurants with good service!

We had a reservation for the dining room and was seated in the bar. Sorry I don’t pay inflated restaurant prices to be seated in the bar for dinner. Very disappointed and will not go back. Bar tables are for lunch not dinner!

Never again! $500/4 for this? ($100 of wine and a martini - so basically $100/person without alcohol) We ordered the special grouper with scallops and it was served without the scallops. (They brought them out when we pointed it out) We ordered the surf and turf medium rare and the filet was medium to medium well. We asked the waitress what the VINTAGE of the wine was, and she said “Napa” so worse than the fact that she didn’t know that vintage meant year, she got the region wrong - it was from Oregon.
