As for the company itself. I was given move dates on two prior occasions but they never showed nor did they contact me to explain anything. Any communication I received from the company was because I initiated it. My last scheduled appointment was supposed to be a morning appointment but my movers did not show up until around 1 50pm. Unfortunately, I have to give these guys the lowest possible rating. If I could leave a negative star review I would. I hired All My Sons Charlotte to move us on a Saturday. They let me know they would arrive between noon- 3 PM. At 2:50 PM, we get a call that they are cancelling our move due to poor scheduling on their part and the earliest they can fit us in is the following Tuesday. Absolutely horrible experience with this company. I've used them twice now. The first time they missed my move in date and had to schedule the next day. Second time(today) they damaged 3 of my items as well as damaging the rental house I was moving from. The only positive part of my experience was working with Kevin wright. Kevin felt so bad about his teams effort and work that he came back after the job was done and apologized. The other two didn't even introduce themselves. Well we call All My Sons moving about two weeks ago and scheduled our moving date for May 28th, today. They called us Sunday and we talked about the move, what all we needed moved, etc. Everything was going great. Until yesterday (May 27th) at 2:00 pm when they called and said they couldn't move us. Less than 24 hours notice. They said they had two guys leave and they could probably move us Friday, instead of today (Tuesday), but nothing else could be done. That was it. Totally screwed us! I hired All My Sons Moving & Storage to unload a Budget cargo van at my new apartment in Charlotte. I was quoted $159 an hour with a 2-hour minimum and asked to make a $477 deposit that would be refunded if I didn't use additional time. Unloading the van took around an hour. I called today to inquire about my refund and was told there was a state-mandated hour long "travel" fee also charged. This was not disclosed at any point during my quote or coordination of the move. Wanted to complain about the disastrous move that we had today. I booked this move months ago over the phone and gave specifics on all details of the move including: size of each property, every piece of furniture needed to move and which items needed assembly and dissembled. I was told that I would get a confirmation call to set everything a week before the move but this never happened. absolutely worst moving company under the sun. broke half our stuff. overcharged like crazy and rushed thru our move. it was such a horrible experience. makes me wanna cry even writing this. do not use this company. I never leave reviews but I'm going to go out of my way to leave all my sons a bad review everywhere I can. they broke our $1500 chair.. we filed a claim we got $100 back. this company is criminal.
Wish I'd read reviews before booking. I spoke to a rep, confirmed time and addresses, gave a credit card and was charged a deposit. All of this happened yesterday morning. They attempted to call me to "confirm" yesterday afternoon, and unfortunately I didn't see the vm until this morning. We're supposed to move in an hour. Pasting the vm transcription below. @AllMySonsMoving DO NOT USE!!! Spent 3k on a move, they broke my tv and offered 100 bucks. ABSOLUTE CROOKS!!! STAY AWAY. Too expensive AND they break stuff and don't care. Poor poor and down right a crapbox of a company
