They completely ruined two pieces of furniture by dropping one (dresser) and destroying the finish on three sides of another (coffee table) with excessive and unnecessary packing tape, and then damaged two other things. The service ended up being far more expensive than was quoted, despite us packing things very well. The moving crew itself gave us strong homophobia vibes, and overall it cost us almost 2 grand for them to break multiple things. Just like everyone else here, it seems, I had a terrible experience with All My Sons. I called their switchboard because apparently this company is nationwide. They sent Thomas to our house to do an estimate; he was a nice enough guy however when he came to asses my home he said that they couldn't move houseplants because it's against the rules. Please do not use them, I don't want anyone else to be as horribly treated as we were. We moved from Beaverton to NE in 2021 and it felt uncomfortable from the start. First, so many items stolen. My entire tool bag, 3 Monet prints my wife had gotten in Paris, our only air pump, who knows what else. Second, we only needed movers for our bed as it is our biggest investment but you have to fill that truck to make up for the additional fees they spring on you at the end. This company is a joke. I wish I could leave one star. We made a reservation with them on May 17th to help load heavy items for our move on July 1st (that's over 6 weeks in advance), and on June 28th they called to cancel. We already paid them and I have yet to see a refund, and are scrambling to get help for our upcoming move. They didn't offer any backup plan. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
Canceled on us the morning of our move. We are now scrambling because we have to be out by tomorrow.
Hired All My Sons Moving to load a moving truck the Friday of Memorial Weekend. When I booked their services I had the ability to be flexible on my move date, Tuesday - Friday. After talking with them, we all determined Friday was the best. I specifically asked if there would be any issues with staffing on the Friday of Memorial weekend and was assured there would be no issues. They made a clerical error and had me booked for a Friday instead of Saturday. When brought to their attention, they denied responsibility for the error and offered the following Saturday as an option. I asked if there would be a discount seeing as the error was on their side and it was a major inconvenience. So much for being a reliable mover, scheduled for a move on Friday months ago, and received a call this am stating they can not follow through on their commitment. Talk about leaving a person high and dry.
If I could give this company negative stars I would. Knowing well ahead of time that I am moving out of NW Portland, they canceled my move due to parking when they arrived. Even though there was a truck loading zone across the street. I am supposed to be out of my apartment by tomorrow morning and now I am left high and dry with no solutions. Absolutely horrible company and would never suggest anyone to work with them. I have a dislocated shoulder or I would move myself.
