Ok. Here goes... my booking with All My Sons Moving went really well. They gave me an estimate of between $700-900 to move my one bedroom apartment with 2 movers. It was an in-state move of less than 50 miles. They were really good about working with me because my move kept getting delayed. Moving day arrives and instead of 2 movers they sent 3. Ran into to these psychos at Laural rd Public Storage today. They took over the whole operation. They parked in 5 premium spots, confisctaed both moving carts, emptied a ton of furniture in from the the first and second floor elevators so no one else could get by and got hostile when i asked them to clear the hallways.
Let me preface this by saying that I'm a local business owner who helps hundreds of families in SW Washington move every year: I had All My Sons Moving & Storage help my girlfriend and I with a move over the weekend. She had very little stuff compared to the normal family and the movers assured us upon showing up, that they'd be finished loading the truck in as little as 20-25 minutes. my Son was quoted 160.00 per hour on top of his initial 100 dollar deposit. they took 2 hrs. from start to finish and charged him 700 dollars at the end! then threatened him with keeping all his items and calling the authorities! WTH! they are a SCAM! my advise is DONT use this company!
I highly recommend reading all these negative reviews before booking with them. I will always advise avoiding this company at all costs. I had scheduled with All My Sons over 3 months (3 MONTHS) in advance and even confirmed with them a week prior to the move. But then on the day of the move, they called to inform us they can't guarantee they will have employees to help us move. With no real recourse to help my situation. BEWARE OF THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY! My daughter hired this company to move a one bedroom apartment a few miles in Lakewood, CO. She was quoted $500-$600. Once the move was complete, she signed documentation stating the final bill was $838; however, they charged her $1540. She received a small refund for overcharge on supplies not used or provided, but he company is refusing to refund the remaining amount of overcharge. Do not use this company!!! The experience was so poor I have a tough time knowing where to begin. They quoted us $167 an hour for a 2 man team and told us the move should take 2-3 hours. The night before the move they called and said they recommend we use a 3 man team which would then cost $230ish per hour but that the extra man should help the move go much quicker and would most likely end up saving us money. I don't even know where to start with how disappointing this service is. First, I booked for a 3 man crew to package my furniture and belongings and then for the labor to load them into my pod. They were one hour late, then only two people showed up. They said they were short staffed so only sent two people, which ended up taking twice as long as they quoted me and so I paid about twice as much. The crew showed up and was quick on getting the house cleared. Speed was more important than care. To get to the new house is an hour drive. When we arrived all they wanted to do was unload anywhere they could and leave. Beds taken apart- not put back together and hardware missing Shelf brackets for several book cases and other furniture with adjustable shelves all the brackets gone.
