The movers were due to arrive between 7:30 an 9 a.m. At 8:55 they called to say they would be 45 minutes late. They finally arrived and recited the terms, etc., saying that I wasn't obligated to tip them, but it would be greatly appreciated if I did. Nothing like insinuating that I should do so. When they packed my everyday handmade pottery dishes and my good cranberry glass dishes they did not mark the boxes so that I had no idea which box contained which set. this company will do a bait and switch on you! run!!!!! they will quote you a low price then double it. they had the same inventory list and it was double once they arrived. boxes were missing, pieces of furniture missing, dents and damage on so many things. the biggest rip off was telling me the big truck would not go into my complex so they needed a smaller truck, which they billed me $1000 or they would not deliver my property. afterwards many large trucks the same size came into the property! what a shit show! they out s... read more
I will not make this incredibly long but it certainly needs to be said. If I could leave less than one star, I truly would. What started out with professional service has quickly turned into, for lack of a better term, a real shit show. My 66 year old mother in law called for movers and was told they would be able to accommodate her for a decent price on the day she asked for service. If I could give no stars, I would. This company lied to me about having insurance, and dropped an Ethan Allen armoire off the truck and smashed it. Then they confessed they had no insurance, and never paid me for it.
I would not give them any stars, but need to provide something to post. The company has no appreciation for returning customers, which I had been. Not that the service was spectacular, but it was always convenient. For this expected service, I called with a week lead time to reserve service for a weekday. I was told their schedule was wide open, so I chose their first morning time. The guy on the phone thanked me for being a return customer and said he'd give me a discount on their hourly rate. This site needs a negative or zero star option, ANYONE WHO CAN SEE THIS RUN!! GO USE " AAA SOTO MOVING " I CAN NOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE THE TIME OF DAY ESPECIALLY YOUR BUSINESS. Almost $500 for 5 items... the distance between my old residence and current one is only a 6 minute drive. Very bad experience. Do not use them. Breakage, poor packing, sloppy handling of furniture. And, at the end dumped boxes in the garage even though the contents were clearly marked -- they should have been brought into the house. When I spoke to the company, they demanded they charge me more money to move the boxes out of the garage into the house. Run. Run far away from this company!
Very poor moving experience, I wish that there was a no star option. It was basically a scam, they did not provide all the costs that it would take to move me. I only had to move from apartments for the space of one bedroom. It was MUCH more than they said it would be, as well as take their time so that we would pay them more. DO NOT USE THEM
Poor moving experience. We used this company for a city to city move in Arizona. While the "packers" were nice enough and worked hard, once the boxes were unpacked - we had many broken items because of poor packing - ie heavy, bulky items packed on top of delicate glassware, etc. The movers who delivered and unloaded our things were awful - 3 young and careless men.We eventually had them leave everything in the garage after wall and doorways were damaged.
