I had a horrible experience with this company. I was told to expect the movers at around 1 pm and they did not get to my place until after 6. Additionally, at around 1:30 pm, one of the movers called me to say he was coming in 45 minutes to an hour. When he didn't show up, I called the mover's number multiple times and had no response. When I called customer service about the issue, they told me that the mover had "mistakenly called me and meant to call another client." Seriously???????? I hired All My Sons to move this medical equipment. They helped disassemble this scanner and they packed it in their truck to be transported on the same day, less than a mile away. When we got to the destination, they refused to unload my equipment unless I sign and make the complete payment for the move. I abide to "their policy" which is kinda weird, but I didn't think that there would be any issues...WRONG! They unloaded the medical equipment and immediately left. Absolutely awful. Hidden charges (14% fuel surcharge for the time the truck is PARKED), extra hour for them to get to you. On top of that, I asked after hours pick up, they took my money, then said they don't have it available, then after going back and forth they agreed to about 6:00PM. 6:30pm I call them- they don't know when they'll get here and it may be later than 8:30.
I received a quote and paid a deposit in April for a move June 28th. On June 25th I was notified that I had not been given a correct quote and the cost was now going to be approximately $2400.00 (an increase of about $1400). I had not budgeted for such an expensive cost for a 55 mile move. The person with whom I was speaking was unwilling to honor the quote and didn't sound apologetic at all. I was unable to find availability with another company on such short notice. It was a nightmare. Terrible customer service!
Never got to the move. I ran into an issue with my timing. While I was trying to figure it out, they told me they need to know now, they need to make a living too. That's verbatim. Asked to refund my money, said fine and hung up on me. Never got the refund. Then two weeks later got a call from what I'm assuming was the operations guy asking if I was still moving, told him what happened and he had sarcastic, smug reply, he was as awful as the sales guy. DO NOT HIRE!! My elderly mother hired them and this is her email to the company today: To Whom it may concern, I hired All My Sons Moving Company to properly and carefully move my belongings to my new home. I am an elderly woman and could not move on my own. I was given a moving date of Thursday May 23rd, 2019. I arranged to have some of my family help out on that day, meaning they missed work. Terrible company. My daughter used them recently. Her valuables were found at a local pawn shop a few days later. Didn't finish the 1st day. Made a phony phone call to their office and said they'd be back in the morning. They didn't show up. When my daughter called the office they knew nothing about it. They shouldn't have a license to do business. Should be minus 5 stars.
Total and utter negligence. We packed our entire home and were just having them move our stuff from point A to point B. It was a slightly unique situation as our new apartment was not yet ready so everything was being moved into the 2 bedrooms of the apartment, but not assembled, so when they were done we could not look at our furniture as we were in a hotel until the rest of the construction was completed on our apartment. COMPLETE SCAM!! I used this company to move my things into storage 8 months ago. I didn't change or add any items. Everything was ready to move as they had left them. I recently hired them to move my things to our new residence 1.5 hours away. I was given a QUOTE, not an estimate, of $840 with a $200 deposit. After all my items were delivered to my house I was told I owed $1190. I instantly questioned this and told the movers I was quoted $840.
