"I bought a 4 yr warranty on my PC that I bought from Staples back in 2016 that had a full replacement cost included if the item couldn't be repaired which would have been $649. When I needed to make a claim this month I was told the warranty was mistakenly made for a printer and not my PC. I was also told by Square Trade that the replacement value of my warranty was now just $299.99 which was the price I paid for the 4 yr warranty. "Basically the score is so low because it 2 weeks from start to finish to receive a suitable replacement. I didn't have a very common phone, and it's fix-ability score was incredibly low, so I knew it wouldn't be able to be fixed. The best possible experience would have been to have been sent the device I was finally given with a hold for the cost of the phone plus the deductible amount and to send back the broken device and have the hold of the cost of the phone lifted from my card. "So Amazon provides you with one option. Then once something happens they do not cover it and respond with we have two options. Hell of a way to sell something. Save your money everyone because this is a scam. If it were not for Amazon refunding me I would have had to pay for this garbage."
"My computer was supposed to have had a charging issue fixed. It charges really slowly, a brand new MacBook Pro. It takes approximately 9 hours to get a full charge from empty compared to the 2.5 hours that it is supposed to take. I filed a claim with square trade, and sent them the computer. After a few days, I received an email claiming that the computer was fixed, and it was returned to me. However the computer still takes 9 hours to charge completely. The issue was not resolved."
"Purchased a Samsung TV along with a 5-year extended warranty from SquareTrade in March of 2016. Fast forward to two weeks ago when the TV failed and the bottom left corner of the screen actually began to melt due to internal overheating. "Called square trade due to them charging me twice every month once on the 7th once on the 8th. I sent them c copies of my checking account showing the 2 charges every month that say square trade for the exact same amount. They are trying to tell me the 2nd charge is not them and because I did not send a statement just the portion of the statement with the 2 charges they won't refund me. "
