"I purchase Skullcandy less the one year ago with 2 years warranty from office depot. Skullcandy is not working. I went Office Depot #879 on 5/21/2017. Office Depot store manager Mr. Julian contact with SQUARE TRADE. SQUARE TRADE says they will send e-mail, I have to register first. I scan and send my receipt. "These people give cheerful, pro-active customer service. Purchased a $45 product from Staples and bought the SquareTrade extended warranty for an additional $10. The product failed within 6 months, and the manufacturer said it was the wrong power supply for my laptops and refused to honor the 2 year warranty. Staples just blew me off, even though their salesman had knowingly steered me wrong. SquareTrade chased me down to make sure everything was OK, and then made it right. THANK YOU! "
"It took time and effort on our part to send several pieces of information to them. We also had the backing of Staples the store that sold us the protection plan. We didn't use their website to contact them, but found it easy to get through on the phone several times. Our persistence paid off."
" We love Square Trade and their good prices. We don't, however, appreciate having to fight with the claims rep to have SquareTrade do their job and cover our loss. We were asked to pay in full for the replacement/repair of the phone and get reimbursed, which we did not agree to. We had to fight a little bit with him to get him to agree to having ST take our deductible and be billed by the merchant ."
"Contacted Square Trade on a covered laptop screen went blue or dead. I was told to contact manufacturer first to start warranty process. Contacted manufacturer, they stated to return diagnosis, repair or replace up to 4 weeks in meantime I have no laptop. I purchased plan from Square Trade, why should I have had to contact manufacturer for service. We are an extended warranty, which means that we are an extension of the manufacturers warranty. They will always provide service first, once they expire then your extended warranty applies. Although, in some cases some services may run concurrent. We are required to allow them to honor their guarantee if you have issues within your first year. ... read more

"Their information on who to go to was wrong. The first place they sent me to never ever answered their phones. And I left messages. They never responded. The second place they sent me was the right place, but the wrong name. But all ended well, finally. The SquareTrade part of it all was great. I got the refund check in a timely manner and deposited it."
