"I had purchased a Square Trade warranty for a refurbished printer I ordered from Staples. When it was not working properly, submitted an online claim. When the claim showed up on the screen, it showed that it was closed. I contacted them via phone. I spoke with a representative who informed me I needed to contact HP. Square Trade sent an e-mail to me with the information they would need if I was dissatisfied with the conversation I had with HP. I called HP and after 1-1/2 hr of tests, was told it was no longer under warrant... read more

"I purchased 3 walkie talkie wanted insurance. Call Customer support and was advised I had to purchase one plan that covered the amount of my purchase. So I went back and purchased it. I am now stuck with a walkie talkie that no longer works correctly. Well that's what you get when you try not to make a mistake. "

"Broken phone, called SqTrd, got local shop name, drove over, fix phone, paid, PHONE like new w/i 1 hour.... Submit receipt on-line/e-mail, 5 days later reimbursement check. NO HASSLE AT ALL! "

"Contacted Square Trade to process a claim. $50 deductible and I would receive a return shipping label via email. Charged my credit card, received receipt right away via email. Never received return label, called to get label, was told original claim wasn't process correctly. Re-processed, should get label. Still no label. Called again, was told the original claim has to be canceled so it can be submitted again. Rep asks for $50 deductible for new claim. Kiss my ass, refund my original $50. Incompetent rep's and system"

"After our tv went black and would not turn on we first tried calling the cable company, but soon discovered it was the tv that wasn't working. We called square trade to get it looked at. They ordered any/all parts that could be the problem. We were amazed that they arrived the very next day."

"Customer services is good; However, when purchasing a policy for my iPhone it was not clear (supposedly tucked somewhere in the fine print) that my phone was not insureable because I was purchasing the policy more than 30 days after the purchase (it was about 45 days old). Regardless, the system allowed me to purchase the policy - so for the last year I've believed I was insured.
