"My husbands $550 phone broke. Thank goodness we purchased a $99 warranty through Square Trade. After hours of being "put on a brief hold" and countless promises to "call me back within the hour" from managers, we stopped fighting for the refund of the purchase price as stated in the warranty and accepted a minimal payoff amount of $384 minus the $75 deductible. "My son had to send in to get fixed cuz his brother got 2 games stuck.they retuned ps4 but not games I called and they send would send back in 48 hrs been over 2 weeks and still waiting to hear back.very expensive games and dont think they are ever going to b returned. "

"When I slipped on slick ground at a nursery picking out plants and landed ignominiously on my ****, I thought the only thing damaged was my pride. That was until I got back in the car and discovered the screen on my iPhone had shattered. "I purchased an Apple iPhone in December 2014 and soon after bought a squaretrade warranty through Amazon. I uploaded my receipt (purchased phone through Verizon) and called to ensure my warranty was good to go. I called because the Amazon page listed it as "Apple Electronics Warranty" and didn't specify for phones. I was told the warranty was good to go. "I'm not going to get into the details of how crappy my tv was. But I will say that SquareTrade reviewed my claim, contacted me for additional information, and got a check out to me in 3 days! I've already replaced my tv and instead of getting the extended warranty the store offers, I bought another SquareTrade warranty! I'll be purchasing insurance for my iPhone through them as well!! "

"My 60" Vizio went out after about 16 months...well past it's one year warranty. ..I remembered I had a 3 year extended protection plan with Square Trade. ..after verifying my tv was not apart of a Vizio recall, the process was nothing short of excellent! The technician was able to come out almost immediately and confirm my tv was not repairable...within hours a new 60" Vizio was ordered by Square Trade and on the way to me!"

"Normally, SquareTrade gets five start from me, but this time around, there were some issues. Apparently, the documents I'd sent them didn't actually list the purchase price of my computer, and they had been repairing my computer without them as a courtesy, in the past. While I do appreciate that very much, it was very inconvenient to discover they needed me to track down a nearly 3 year old receipt, without access to my computer. "My laptop stopped working while I was traveling in Germany. I have been a Square Trade customer for several years, and have never had to file a claim before. I read on the Square Trade FAQ: "Does SquareTrade cover my item while I’m travelling abroad? Your item is completely covered no matter where in the world you travel. If your item breaks while you're traveling, just file a claim. Once your claim is approved, we'll ask you to get your item fixed locally, send us the receipt, and we’ll reimburse you as quickly as possible... read more
