"My portable ice maker suddenly quit working while still under the one (1) year manufacturer's warranty. I called Square Trade Warranty Services department; they took over from there, even when it was not really their problem, as the SQ warranty was not yet in force! They contacted the manufacturer for me, arranged for return authorization and even provided me the address and phone number of the repair center. "On March 9th I called square trade to file a claim on my 128GB iphone 6 since it would not turn on or charge. During this call I was told they they could not help me because my imei was blacklisted as my phone was a stolen phone. The imei on my receipt from the apple store matches the one on the phone so I don’t see the problem, but Im told I need to call Verizon because they have a lock on my phone. I know that Verizon does not lock phone but the customer service rep is insistent that he cannot help me until I call Verizon... read more

"This company will not fulfill their obligation in replacement of your item. They will offer you a lower quality item or refund but not of the original purchase amount. Don't and I won't do business with them again. Their selling you a rip off. I purchased a 9 inch tablet on 11/6/2015 and yes I purchased this company's 2 year insurance just incase as well. "Had cracked screen on my Galaxy S5 and submitted online claim. Opted to have local repair place fix it. Took picture of repair receipt- emailed to squaretrade and received confirmation with a day that the claim was approved and a check was in the mail. could not have been easier!"

"I had bought a warranty from SquareTrade which includes accidental damage for a camera. I broke the LCD screen, and they fixed it after covering the shipping both ways. However, I noticed that the pictures were very grainy afterwards. I sent it back in (again for free), and they are now sending me a check for the full amount of the item as they are unable to repair it. I cannot ask for anything better."

"My Nexus 6 is big, expensive and wasn't available for insurance coverage from my carrier. So I tried SquareTrade. They'd been good on stuff from Amazon right? So I was very happy to find out it was less per year and the deductible was half of my carrier on cheaper phones on my plan. Well, Gravity is a law, don't break the law. It's nearly 300 dollars for a new screen and digitizer. I've got a 75.00 deductible on this plan and with just two interactions with Square Trade my claim was approved and my check issued. "Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Spoke with representative over the phone when inquiring about warranty options and was completely mislead regarding their policy on extended warranties and used items. Company did not honor their previously stated information and contract deliberately excluded information regarding Ebay purchases. Will be canceling all of my existing warranty plans with them & making sure to direct all my friends to do the same. "

"I got off work late and needed to file a warranty claim, I was tired and having problems filing out the claim. 30 seconds later I get a phone call from a customer service representative and 2 minutes later I have an email and we are moving forward, next day I get an approval for a check to be sent. Thank You Square trade, from a long time customer."
