"Bought a TV almost 3 years 10 months ago. Bought inexpensive 4 yr Square Trade warranty at same time. There was an issue shortly with one of the input thingies on the TV. Submitted a claim. They asked for my receipt copy and I assumed they got it. Found a work around with the tv and never followed up. Just bought a new tv and when I went to get the Square Trade warranty on it realized I had never followed thru on the other claim. " Fifteen months ago, I purchased cell phone ins from square trade for my daughters new iPhone 6. I was paying $5/mo. Only 3 months into it, she dropped her iPhone accidently into washer. I called square trade, made a claim. All went well. I went online and made sure that square trade had the new iPhone 6 info so it would be covered. "My iphone 6plus (14 months old and out of regular warranty) stopped taking a charge. I called Square Trade customer service and was told I could ship the phone to them and get it repaired and returned within 2 days, but since it was a Friday , I was concerned it might take longer. I need my phone for my work, so the service rep said I could take it to an apple store for an immediate evaluation and then send the repair order/invoice from Apple to Square Trade for reimbursement. "As soon as I bought my TV and the Square Trade warranty, I registered with Square Trade (hoping I would never have to use it). When my remote sensor went out, I went online to report the problem, expecting someone would be sent out. Instead, I had to prove I had the warranty, send a copy of my receipt, etc. (they even had the nerve to tell me, after I had sent everything online, that they had all my information already!). "I bought a warranty for a vacuum. I have a long haired cat and seem like we are going thru them like water. We bought one of the higher end pet version vacuum really wanted to make sure if it didn't stand up as stated. 6months from the end of the warranty it died. I started a claim in August. I need to find a box to ship it and totally forgot about the whole thing until Christmas, we found the box. After waiting 15 days from filing date to have the claim approved for either a replacement or payout and after many calls which totaled over 4 hours into customer service (since the agent working on my account never called or responded back to my messages) it got resolved horribly. "I recently had an issue with a refurbished computer I bought for a client. The computer had a 90 day warranty from the vendor and a two year warranty from Square Trade. The computer failed and I contacted the 90 day warranty vendor. They said that it could take 4 -5 weeks to get it repaired. That was not acceptable. I contacted SquareTrade and in less then 1 week, the computer is repaired and on its way back to me. This makes me as a re-seller look GREAT!"
