I was initially upset about American Home Sheild because it took 4 companies(and 2 months) of coming to my home to "repair" my washer. The first 3 companies didn't even do anything, which delayed the process even longer. The 4th company at least tried to repair my washer. Once it was determined to be non-repairable, the process was easy. AHS contacted me via email with choices of either getting a payout or ordering a new washer from them.
