My air conditioning system went out and it wouldn't work. At first, the air conditioning people came out and they looked at the problem. They diagnosed the problem as an electrical problem that was causing the air conditioner not to work properly. So the electrician then was authorized and diagnosed the problem. My garage door opener would not work from my car or a garage door opener and I called American Home Shield. Submitting the claim was easy and I did that online but if you wanna talk to a person, it's a nightmare. You have to hold forever such as almost an hour. Magic City Door came out and the response time was good. They came when they said they would, called right before they arrived and let me know what time frame they would be there. American Home Shield sent Immediate Response Plumbing and Rooter for a leaking faucet and I was impressed with the plumbing company. The only thing is American Home Shield exported the company offshore and I have a hard time understanding some of the people’s language.
The microwave had sparked and I had some burn inside there. AT Appliances was sent out. The technician had been over here before when he did something similar but it didn't do it quite as bad. That time, he painted something inside to make it correct. This time, he replaced a part. It seems to be okay now. I like having American Home Shield as I'm concerned with the big appliances and the air conditioning, heating thing.
I submitted a claim online to American Home Shield and the website seemed easy to use and straightforward. I was told that I would hear from so and so within the day. Steinmetz HVAC was great and the guy who came out was very polite. He immediately suspected what the problem was. The capacitor on our HVAC was out and the contractor fixed that. The pool suction with the pump wasn't working. I submitted a claim to AHS online and it was real easy. Once I was able to schedule an appointment with the contractor, it was two weeks out. It would have been nice if it was a closer appointment. The contractor came out and they did social distancing. They tried to fix the pool pump, which I don't think is the issue. Aerify came out for my AC and it was great. It turned out to be something very simple. It was just something with our Nest thermostat. We had it behind a piece of furniture. The tech ran all the diagnostic and everything on the air conditioning. He realized we were okay then he figured out what the problem was. The tech was very kind. He cleaned out our system and he was very thorough. Everything's working great.
The fan in the AC stopped spinning in the back and it was making a growling noise. So it was not putting out any air. I put the online claim on a Saturday afternoon and Elite Heating & Air was here on that Monday. So they were out immediately. The technician fixed it within minutes. It was quick and easy. It's painless to use American Home Shield. I just make a call and they help take care of the issue.
The guy from AC Wizard came out and three times for the AC. The first time, the pipe had been frozen completely, so he wasn't able to do anything. He came back and added the coolant. Then the system stopped working again the next day and so he came back and took another look. He thinks it's because we have one unit for three floors, and they were all on different temperatures.
