The mechanism in the toilet was running because you couldn’t turn the water off. We tried to fix it but the water was constantly running. That the actual mechanism inside wasn't filling the toilet up. So it was a half-full tank in there and we couldn’t get that little knob to unturn. My stove burnt out and I called American Home Shield. They had a representative call me. The guy who came out was nice. He got to the nature of the problem and he needed to order a part. Once the part came back, he came and put it on. The process took no more than a couple of weeks. The experience with AHS has been good and I'm satisfied thus far. I had another claim last year with them and everything has been fine.
Calling in my claim to American Home Shield for my AC issue was easy. Things went smoothly with their rep. The techs who came out from Low Country's Best Heating & Cooling were professional. They repaired my AC and found that a cap was missing. They put that back on. It was a good experience.
Pro-Tec came and fixed an icemaker. And then, my refrigerator wasn't cooling. They said it was some sort of a part that went missing. After a two-week time span, the part came in. Then they came in and refixed it. They were very pleasant. It's just when I called Home Shield and said, "Hey, my refrigerator has been down and it has been X amount of time. And I have lost food. I recently had my dryer fixed. It just stopped turning on. This was our second claim with AHS and it was nice and easy. I just logged into my American Home Shield account. When I scheduled the appointment on the website, I got to pick the time. Then I got a text message confirming it. 'Cause that was a Friday, I got another text message on Sunday evening confirming. I am pleased to be a customer of AHS. I must admit, I don't trust many companies in 2020. As a senior I have been lied to and taken advantage of by other warranty companies. However, my years with AHS have been the most pleasant experience. They are honest and the service companies are professional and polite. When my appliance needed to be replaced it done immediately. I have the highest respect for this service and the cost is well worth the monthly charge.
Submitting claims to American Home Shield has been easy. Plumbers Inc., one of their contractors, came recently and the tech took care of my problem. Before this claim though, I had a plumber come to do some ductwork and he said that AHS didn't cover it. He put some tape on my duct, charged me $200 and I still have the same problem. So, I was really pissed off as I thought he took me to the cleaners.I had other people come out and they cleaned my attic and put a new duct in. I paid a lot of money for that duct replacement. We realized our AC was broken at 10 o'clock at night when we got home. The technician came 7:30 first thing in the morning. It was super quick. He looked at whatever he had to do inside, and then everything else, worked outside in the garage. My husband went out there with him and he explained to my husband every step of the way and everything he was doing and checking.He did it just to make sure that he doesn't forget anything or that he has his steps in order. The toilet was stopped up. The plastic piece that hovers over it to keep it all clean had broken and it got sucked down in there. American Home Shield sent DFW Plumbing, and they were here seven minutes tops to get it out. Everything is great.
