I had a control board issue on the AC. I called AHS and it was easy to get the claim in. American Air Conditioning and Heating came out and the AC is working fine now.
The air conditioning unit stopped. The other company that American Home Shield had said that it needed an electrician so they called Professional Controls and they came out for the fuse. The young man was very nice. When I call, right away American Home Shield sends out somebody but during this time, it was a bad storm and our electricity had gone out the day that he was supposed to work on it. So we had to wait for another date after the electricity came on. But everything was done in a timely fashion.
The people from Response Plumber & Rooter were very friendly, courteous and quick. They were on time as well. We had water leaking and they checked out the dishwasher and then they repaired my garbage disposal, which wasn't working. We thought we had water leaking from the dishwasher, but in reality, it was from the air conditioning unit. Something was plugged in the line. Response Plumber & Rooter fixed what they could fix, and they told us what needed to be done with the air conditioner.Everything was solved quickly and it... read more
When I moved to this house a year ago, I needed extra keys and Home Shield sent somebody who made me keys. I was very happy with that. A couple of months ago, a faucet was leaking and their contractor replaced it. Home Shield just charged me the $75 service fee. I was happy with that too. When my water heater was leaking, I submitted a claim for it. I was charged the $75 for someone to come and tell me that yes indeed, it needed to be replaced because it was more than 10 years old. The people who came were pretty professiona... read more
I called American Home Shield because we had a big leakage in our upstairs shower. They sent somebody and he checked but he had no part right then. He came back after for one week and fixed the leakage part. But he didn't fix my wall that he broke to fix the shower tub. He said he would call somebody and they would come here to fix the wall. I have to wait and they would call me. But it's been almost more than one week and nobody has called me and nobody came. I asked him for a number to call but he didn't tell me anything. ... read more
The oven would come on but the controls that operated it were not working. I could not use the controls to turn it off. When I submitted the claim to American Home Shield, I was told that they would call me within 48 hours but I ended up calling them because I didn't hear from them in that timeframe. But the technician who came out was very professional. He cleaned up after himself and he got it fixed. I was happy when he left. Everything has been functioning very well since then and I have no problems at all. I'm now able t... read more
I was out of town and it was 110 degrees at my home. My wife heard a loud pop and our AC quit working. The fan motor of the unit vibrated and it gave out. The wires got hit by the fan which then cut the wires out. Comfort King, one of American Home Shield's contractors, got sent out in a day or two. When their tech came out, he put a new fan in. Then, we were up and running. He was a really nice guy. The service really needed because the AC broke down on the hottest day of the year. AHS's warranty has been a very good busine... read more
The dishwashing machine is broken and if you press start, the cycle is not moving at all. I went online to notify AHS and their website was okay. When the contractor came out, he was good and right now, I'm waiting for the job to be done. The man put the order in and said they would give me a call.
The dryer had stopped working and it took a week for someone to come out. The tech from Sears determined that it was from some kind of thermal fuse that was out and he replaced it. So it has been fine ever since. I've had American Home Shield for at least seven years and I like how they're responsive and I don't have to pay top dollar to get my appliances repaired. They also choose the contractor for me, so it's nice.
