My husband is older now and he has dementia, so he's not able to fix the things around the house that he used to be able to fix. I love American Home Shield. I've had them for so long and I always recommend them when people talk about their homes. Unfortunately, things break down, but I feel I've gotten new stuff, and I'm happy with it. Submitting claims is easy as well. I had one for a plumbing issue and everything was fine. My daughter is staying in the house and she said it took the guy from C Mayes Plumbing less than 10 minutes. He said, "Just be mindful of the toilet paper that the kids are using."
On Time Plumbing and Heating replaced my garbage disposal and it's working fine. The people that came out did good work. I'm satisfied with American Home Shield but the only thing that I don't care about is that I can't choose my own provider or who's gonna do the work.
I called American Home Shield for the first time since there was something with our toilet. This was the first time I called and I was not happy that there was a recordinga and I was on hold when I wanted to speak with someone. I ended up just using the automated system and that was easy. I was given the name of the company that would be coming as well as their telephone number. It was AJ Plumbing. I was told to contact the company which I did. They were excellent. The technician was very professional. He arrived earlier than my appointment. The repairs was completed in a timely manner. He explained the problem & what he did to repair it. I was very pleased.
There was a blown fuse that was continuously popping. We filed a claim with AHS and the tech who came out replaced it. Then he showed us the issue with the existing one that was in there and asked us if we wanted to hold on to it. And we told him no. During the service, he had his face mask on and prior to having us sign anything, he wanted to know if we had our own pen so that he wouldn't have to pass the same pen. We felt like there was a blown fuse and we weren't able to get the power back. All the electrical outlets stopped working and everything was shut down. We called in a claim with AHS and everything went smoothly with their reps. They gave us a time and date, and the electrician showed up on time. He came in and replaced the fuse in the box. There was a line broken from the street to our home and we were without water for about four weeks. It was faulty material. We had over $2,000 worth of water bills. It was horrendous. American Home Shield dispatched Crystal Clear Plumbing Professionals immediately. They were terrific. Everything performed very fine, except for we were never reimbursed for it. Arkey Locksmith did a good job. He was here on time and he was professional. He knew how to do all the locks and it didn't take him that long to do everything. The online service with American Home Shield as far as getting the claim set up was a little bit confusing. It wouldn't set up my account, so I had to go in with my code number that I had the policy. Their online thing needs some adjustments. Otherwise, everything was fine.
