The water wasn’t staying in the tank. It was completely dry. Plumbers Inc. fixed it on the first attempt. It was really a simple fix. The tech had the part on the truck and he replaced it. It was all done very quickly. American Home Shield does a very good job. But sometimes, the wait is a little longer. My wife calls in claims with American Home Shield and the wait is a bit longer now because of this COVID situation. Everybody's remote and calls are stacking up. Things now take a bit longer to either get answered or resolved. Before all this, things were a bit faster. People were in the shop and they would answer and the whole staff crew is available. My AC stopped in the middle of the night on Thursday. I called American Home Shield and they said that they would send someone out. Someone came out at about 3:00 on a Monday and they were very professional. They fixed my AC, and it’s back running now. However, it was hot that weekend. If AHS had someone, I would have liked for them to have come out on the Saturday and they could have fixed it then instead of having to wait the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and during the holidays. The dryer wasn't heating anymore and it's the second time we've had that issue. The first time, it was the same company and it took like a week to get the part. This time, it was really fast. They had the part we needed, so same day, they came out. It was really quick. I've had American Home Shield for probably 10 years. The AC made a noise when it shut off and I got that same from Home Shield. They listed that if it made those noises, you should have it serviced, so that's what I did. But there wasn't anything wrong with it. It's a normal noise when it shuts down. It is loud. But all is well. It's working great. Service One Air was on time, very thorough, and explained what the noise was. They had masks on, their feet covered and they kept their distance even with the masks on. Everything went great. A-US Air Condition of Texas was good and they came out within two days. One day would have been better, but coming out on the second day was good. When they were in here, they got the AC fixed and got out in a couple of hours. They also wore masks and they avoided coming inside more than they had to. But they came in and checked the thermostat. I had the contractor come out to do the fan on the AC unit because they weren't able to do it over the summer because of COVID. The guy came out and checked out the unit. He was very professional. He was great.
My husband is older now and he has dementia, so he's not able to fix the things around the house that he used to be able to fix.
