Allcity Appliance & HVAC was very good on site. They worked on the pump that was going on the washing machine. They were quick, clean and we're very happy. All worked perfectly fine. As far as the process, they have to diagnose the issue, then get approval for whatever the fix is before they come in, order the part and get the ship squared. I had a heater issue and Peace of Mind came out. They assessed it and took a look at it. Then the technician determined that we ended up needing a new heater and so he handled the processing element of that. Then, once the heater came in, they came in and did the installation. He was timely, always notified me when he was coming. They took care of it. It did have a small leak on it. He turned around and he said, "Okay. I'm gonna leave it for a day." Dimitri came out for the microwave and he was really good. He was very knowledgeable and very efficient and clean. So I was very impressed. The microwave is working fine. He wore his mask when he was here and we stayed distant. I had to help him get the microwave out. But other than that, he protected himself perfectly. He was a real gentleman. I had another service that I was not happy with at all. I switched to AHS and, so far, their service is good. When my AC had an issue, I submitted a claim and it was really easy. I did it right from my iPad and they assigned Aaron Plumbing and Heating, Air Condition to come out.
This was the first time I've needed to file a claim. I got this home warranty because last year, I had a lightning strike near my house and it fried some of my control boards in my appliances. I thought that would have been really bad if I would have had to replace several appliances all at one time. I thought the process was easy. everything is good no complaints, the wireing cover has fallen off of condenser unit, I put it back on. All the services were prompt and friendly. It is comforting to know if something goes wronk it is covered.
The fan of the AC was not turning off. I called American Home Shield and the hold was exceptionally long to get through but I was able to talk to a representative. They sent Ambient Air. We saw the technician without a mask at one point, but other than that, it was fine. He needed a motherboard. He had to order that and come back.
One of the burner in my cooking range was not working. The technician from Sears came out and in the initial investigation, he reported there were some parts that were not working. He first ordered the replacement coil. Then when he changed that, some PCB or something was not working. He had to come back again for that.
