My recent claim experience with AHS was great. The contractor was wonderful, prompt and professional. The AC wouldn't cool and so what he diagnosed was a coil that had failed in the old unit. That was what they got hold of and came back and replaced. Everything is fine now. The people AHS sends out are quality people. Sometimes you have to follow up though. My air conditioner wasn’t turning off. It doesn't get to the temperature that I set the thermostat to. I put in a request through the American Home Shield website and it was very easy to use. It said that Cozy Comfort Heating & Cooling will reach out to me and set up an appointment, and their technician did. The technician ended up coming out twice because the first time, it did get a little bit cooler but it still wasn't hitting the temperature I would set on the thermostat. I like American Home Shield. My recent claim with them was for a washer and dryer. They found somebody quickly and got somebody in. I was very pleased with the contractor that they went with. I was very surprised. He was very knowledgeable, was very quick to assess what the problem was and knew exactly what to do. He was in and out and very respectful too. I had a really great experience with American Home Shield.
I've had a couple claims and I've been more than pleased. I've always called over the phone, gotten a live person, and told them what the problem was. When I called American Home Shield for the pool filter though, it was after hours and I could only give one choice, but there were two issues I needed fixed. I debated about it and I had to make a second claim. We’ve been with Home Shield for years and we canceled then reestablished their services. The only difficulty that we've been having is that my mother who has been paying for the monthly charge feels like there's something going on that she's getting charged $60 a month twice for a few months now. But I love Home Shield. The recent claim took a little longer than what I thought because they needed a mortar, but everything was okay after that.
Gary is awesome. He got the water tank taken out, and the new one was put in. He was quick and we have hot water now. I've had bad experiences in the past, but this time was a little different. I called the 800 number when I had water on my garage. There was a crack and since I sell the stuff for a living, it helped that I knew the contractors American Home Shield had. The garbage disposal was broken. I submitted a claim via the phone app of AHS. It was super easy. The technicians were able to fix the issue. Now, it works fine thus far.
AT Appliances came out for our microwave. They had masks on and they were on-time and very professional. They had to come back a few times, but they fixed it. It was also easy to get the claim processed and for someone to come out and take care of it. You just go on the website, log in, and that's it.
I called American Home Shield because there was condensation on the unit. The gentleman that came out was wonderful. He addressed the issue and he fixed it the same day. So everything was great with that. I did a claim on my water line to my house, which they got a plumber out, but nobody told me that it wouldn't be covered under the warranty at the time that I placed it.
