American Home Shield has been really good, so far. They have the email that has the news on it and different things. You can select one of the things on there and make a claim or request a service. I did that and then I was told that the contractor would come on a certain day in the morning. The contractor from Jets Electrical called ahead of time to let us know that they were coming. He had an assistant with him and they showed up on time. They went about their business in a very businesslike manner. They were quick and eff... read more
I had a claim for the garbage disposal. I filed it online and the process was pretty easy. The contractor whom AHS sent was very good and professional. He hasn't repaired it. He just got the part and he's coming back tomorrow to fix it.
Water Heater Solutions showed up around the same time that we expected. It was 10 minutes later than the time range, but that was okay. The guy did a good job. I wasn't expecting him to be extra friendly or anything. He's just like a normal guy doing his job. He'd put his bandana face covering on when he was talking to me. I could tell that he wanted to take it off when he was working. So I just kept my distance from him. Overall, I'm really pleased with the results. The pipes from the wall underneath the sink poured out. It wasn't glued. Also, on top of the sink where the water goes down was also leaking. AHS sent A Water Solution out and the gentleman fixed both leaks quickly. He did a great job and I was really satisfied. AHS has been there for us a couple of times already. Every time we have called, they got somebody out that day or the next day. The people that they sent out knew their job and they did it well. I'd recommend AHS.
I made a great choice when I chose American Home Shield as my home protection company. Recently, the lights in my kitchen were flickering and I submitted a claim. I did it online and the process was easy. Then, the techs came out, took the lights down, and rewired them. Everything's good now.
The fan outside wasn't turning. I called AHS and the tech came out the next day. He was able to fix it and we got our air conditioning back running. I enjoy AHS. It's a great program. The AC service was within 24 hours instead of waiting a week. I'm satisfied.
I was sitting down on a Friday and I noticed it just kept getting hotter and hotter in the house. And then, the temperature started going up to 82, and then 83, 84 and 85. I knew then I couldn't stay there any longer. Then, I called Home Shield. I prefer speaking with somebody. I like the person to person contact instead of doing it over the internet. Our air conditioner was blowing hot air. I called Home Shield at 3 o'clock in the afternoon to report the problem. I waited for about four minutes to talk to somebody. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and the day the air conditioning went out, it was about 107 here so it was extremely hot. At 8:45 the next morning, a technician from Doctor Cool called and said he was on his way. He was here at 9:05 and he had the problem fixed by 9:35. The house was cooling down and he was on his way.
