Home Shield came with my home purchase in December 2018 and I kept the contract after the first year. Filing claims is no problem. I make a call, send the money in, and in a couple of days, we have a service person out. I've been pretty pleased with their service.
Everything with American Home Shield has been very impressive so far. I'm a new member but everything’s been very professional. Everything they've told me has been spot on. I recently filed a claim for an electric switch that would not ignite. The contractor called me and set up an appointment. They were very professional.
It was a 90 day hot summer night when my air went out!! I jumped up at 4 am and my house was 88 degrees inside.. sent AHS a email /order and 2 days later i received a guy at 9am fixed my air and I’m in heaven now. Quick and Easy and very Sufficient!! Thank you
I had two things that I wanted to do but Home Shield wouldn't allow me to do those at the same time. They put me on hold. I ended up being on hold for about an hour. And then, when Home Shield finally got to me, they said they couldn't do it. But it was fine. The issue was the icemaker in my refrigerator. My husband kept trying to light our water heater and it wouldn't light. Submitting a service request to American Home Shield was very easy. I called on a Sunday and by 8 o'clock on Monday morning, someone had already reached out to me and told me the time of my appointment. AHS's contractor DN Plumbing came and put in a new piece for our heater. They cleaned it, took it apart and put it back together. Everything has been good since then. I'm very happy and satisfied with Home Shield's service.
The water was coming out warm but it wasn't getting hot. We didn't know if that was normal. We could take a bath because it's summer and it was over 100 degrees. But it didn't feel like it was coming up very hot. So we finally decided after about three weeks to call American Home Shield and see if they could come and look at it. They made an appointment. The garage door didn’t go down so I called American Home Shield. Their contractor was great. They provided great service.
I'm very pleased with American Home Shield. They make it very easy to submit service requests. It's online or I can call. Also, I had a technician that asked me what my oven was doing and when I told him that it wasn't heating, he seemed to know what the issue was right off the bat. I was very pleased that he was in and out of here and he took care of the problem.
The AC wasn't cooling and it was very easy to file the claim for it. It was excellent service and the guy from Cool Works was there right away. I appreciate that very much. He had to come back because it was frozen up or something. He said what time he'd be back and he was there right on time. The company that did the repair was very nice and the repair was quick. The AC is working okay today. American Home Shield was efficient and there were no hassles.
