It would be a while before the technician from Hometown Garage Doors could come out, but he was in the area, so when I called, I was able to get there in time. He came out, diagnosed the problem and said, "This is what we need to do." We both wore our masks and he fixed the issue, and then he was on his way. He was very professional and I thought, "Wow." It was a pleasant experience, but I've had some very bad experiences with the contractors that have been sent out as well. In fact, last time I used my own plumber for my wa... read more

Our dryer wasn't heating up at all so I did a claim online. The AHS website was great. They then emailed us. They set up the appointment and they let us know that company would be calling us within 24 hours. The contractor who came out to fix the dryer was great. He was nice and he explained everything to us, like what he was doing. The dryer’s been working fine since. Being part of AHs has been great. We signed up two or three months ago and that was our first claim. There were no problems at all.

It was easy to submit the claim online. I've only had one service call since this whole COVID and the tech that came out took precautions. But he was late and I wasn't notified that he was gonna be late. I had to call American Home Shield.

My experience with AHS has been very good so far. I've been using them for multiple houses. However, when the contractor came for my AC issue, he came multiple times and I did not like the service. First of all, they changed the coil and then they had to come back a second time because it stopped working again. So they had to change some other parts. It was broken three times and I just had enough with them. So then I called these guys, Cityline. Since there was a long gap, like a couple of months, I said, I was not gonna ca... read more

My upstairs air conditioner unit went out and when I put in the claim to American Home Shield, it was simple. I went online, logged in to my account and submitted the ticket that my AC unit was not cooling down. The contractor was a great guy. He looked at it really quick and said that the problem was the capacitor. He tested it and confirmed that the capacitor was bad. He had it fixed within 15 minutes. I've had to submit claims to AHS three times in the three years and there was a little bit of confusion with the first one... read more

I've always had a great rapport with AHS. I’ve been with them a long time and it was very easy to submit a service request. When the motor on my microwave was burned out, it took 3 Boys Appliance Repair a while to replace it but I didn't get excited or upset about it. They had to order something, so you gotta have that in mind too. It took three weeks but when they came out, it took five minutes for them to fix it. They popped it in, and popped it out and I was very pleased with the work.

I went online and notified American Home Shield that I was needing a service request on my air conditioner. Their website was fine. I was told to expect the contractors within 48 hours. That part's a little bit confusing as to whether they should call you or you should call them. I ended up calling the contractor. The service was good. Using American Home Shield has been reassuring. We bought an older house. The air conditioning would've been a major expense.

I usually use American Home Shield's website for requests. When we had an issue with our dryer though, I called because I wasn't sure if it was covered. I was on hold a while, but that's understandable. Also, I did a couple of requests, but this is the one where they first put me in contact with somebody, and they said they didn't do that type of work. There was a miscommunication, and then I called back and American Home Shield found somebody else who was able to do it.The technician from Dandi LLC came and he was really po... read more

Submitting a claim to American Home Shield was somewhat difficult. Everything was automated. I would end choosing the wrong number and it was confusing versus speaking to somebody. Still, my AC problem got taken care of and I had no issues. AHS sent Ruiz Air Conditioning and Heating and the tech said the problem was the fan. He went somewhere, came back with a fan, and fixed my unit that same day. Now it is working perfectly. Right after the AC repair, my refrigerator went out and AHS's contractor is coming to fix that as we... read more
