I would usually call American Home Shield’s number when submitting a claim. The rep would tell us that the contractor was gonna call within the next few hours and would give a time when he would be there. That was what happened when I submitted a claim for the washing machine. It wasn’t spinning and the technician came on time and fixed the issue. He left on time as well and he was very nice. A couple of friends of mine recommended that I get American Home Shield. I had a claim where they sent Steven Vandervort out. The contractor arrived on time. And as he was doing his service, he was talking to me through the service. He did what he had to do, and he left. He had something on his feet as well as he had a mask on when he came in. I called AHS to file a claim and I spoke with a representative. She set up the worker and Ryco Electric showed up and did the work. The tech did an excellent job and he was very professional. But I'm having a problem with the air conditioning guy. He has not come to do the work and they've taken $100 out of my account.
The contractor's knowledge base and professionalism were very good. My microwave is working now. American Home Shield has been timely and courteous.
When I had a stoppage, All American Plumbing and Rooter came in and did their job. They were prompt and professional. They told me what the problem was, how they fixed it, and that was it.
We have used American Home shield for 23 years. Fortunately, we haven't had to use them often. When we do need a home repair AHS has been wonderful.
We were having trouble with our air conditioner as it was not working. We called American Hoem Shield and the next day, MaxAir came out. They were very good. The tech had the air conditioner working. He left and about a month or so later, the air conditioner quit again. We called and the same technician came back out, which was good. He was more familiar with the system out there. It was easy to file a claim with AHS 'cause in their system, I could do a follow-up and a “Not fixed, send somebody back out,” although I could only do those on the computer and not on the mobile version. I never try to call them 'cause it ain't gonna work. It's easy to dial. It's just that I can't get anybody on the phone for hours. When I say hours, if just googling reviews for American Home Shield, I see people on hold for 13 hours or 14 hours.
