The contractors that came for our plumbing issue were great. They called me beforehand to communicate the specific timeframe and then they showed up when they said they would. They did the work and left in a short amount of time, and everything's working fine. They also wore masks. They stood back a bit when talking to me. My most recent claim with Home Shield was for a water pipe leak in the basement where the washing machine is. That was really quick and I was surprised because we're still navigating through COVID19. The plumber from Advanced Drains & Plumbing Repairs came out and fixed everything in one day. But my first claim with tem took a long time. The fan in our downstairs condenser was not working so it wasn't cooling. I notified Home Shield on the website and they said we would be contacted within 24 hours. Within three hours, Sirius Plumbing and Air Conditioning was here. They were great and the condenser has been working fine. It was 100 degrees that day and the repair helped tremendously. Every contractor that has come out for us has been awesome.
I gave them a call and Reality Rekey came out the next day. It was great and quick. AHS was the best option for me. I haven't even been in my house 30 days but I feel protected so far.
Everything was great. The claim was all done online and Doctor Cool scheduled quickly. They texted before they came and they were here within the designated window. They were done in less than half an hour. The AC has been running fine since. Overall, the experience was punctual, attentive and easy.
The tech came when he said he would and he did a good job and keyed all the locks. They all work really well.
The AC was not working and American Home Shield sent the guys from Connett Services out. They had to push the order through and they were able to get to me in three days. They got everything working. The claims process seems pretty straightforward. But the details were kind of generic. American Home Shield should have a better chat option on the website to reach customer service 'cause I had to call every time.
The only problem I have with American Home Shield is the fact that it's hard to get ahold of their operators. I spent almost an hour on the phone trying to talk to someone about the issue on my plumbing not being resolved. I do most of my claims online. I have no problem with that. I get that through and they're very quick in responding to that. But if I have a problem with the repair people that have come out and then trying to get back to talk to someone to get it continued, that’s what the problem is and that's what I don... read more
We just moved in and I called one of the numbers in the emails that American Home Shield sent me. We were having some issues with our washing machine and Amazing Plumbing was great. They were very helpful. However, it was not covered. The issue was the washing machine rather than the plumbing so they weren't able to do anything. Still, moving into a older condo, we figured it was a good idea to get a warranty. A friend told me they'd done American Home Shield in the past so I went with that.
