We had the house rekeyed and the contractor that American Home Shield sent was great. The keys all work. We've had good luck with everything so far.
My washer wasn't draining the water after the cycle. All In One Appliance Repair came out and replaced the pump and everything was all good after that. The claims process through American Home Shield was pretty simple, especially now you can just file the claim online. The guys from All In One Appliance were concerned on the questionnaire online that it didn't say whether or not my washer was on a stand or not. My Tek Services came out for a service request I put in with American Home Shield. It was easy doing that over the website. Everything went well. The guy came in for the gas stove and he was good. Everything is working functionally now.
American Home Shield continuously goes up in price every year. I understand inflation but then when I came in, I got a deal and I've gotten shafted after that. The only way I can change the price is if I change how many things I want serviced. I like the amount of things that AHS services. I also like that they usually get back to me pretty quickly.Customers get better service though if they go online. Older people don't like to do things online. Instead, they like to call and talk. I called AHS and the contractor was sent out the next day. It was relatively quick. There was a couple of switches that didn't work. I also had an issue with the shower lamps and there were some wiring issues downstairs. They told me that there was a bad connection down there and that's why the two switches weren't working. They were great. They were informative and they fixed the connection. So the lights work now. I can use my light before going down a dark set of steps. It's been very convenient. With American Home Shield, I go online when I have an issue and ask for a service request. Someone then calls me and there are a couple of contacts a long the way to make sure things are moving along smoothly. My thermostat was shorting out and there was a part in my air conditioning that burned out. I filed a request to American Home Shield and they sent a contractor called Beaches Air Conditioning. The bottom of my refrigerator wasn't cooling. I called AHS that morning and Morgan Henry Company came out within a couple hours. The interaction was great. Everything's good since they came.
I've had American Home Shield for 10 years and I had no problems with them. For the most recent claim, the contractor came to do my electrical and it worked out great. They fixed it that day.
I called Home Shield on the phone for the air conditioning heating unit. I spoke with an actual person and they told me the contractor would call me. It was a weekend and she called me that Monday morning. She said she could get me down for Thursday which was fine.
