The tech who came out for the stove was very professional. He was masked and he used all his precautions. He looked at the stove and figured out it was the motherboard. We had to wait for everything to get ordered. It was quite a process of hooking it, every back up. But there has been no problem since. We got rything hooked up correctly and it works. One time, our air conditioner wasn’t cooling and living in Florida, we need the AC. Without American Home Shield, we wouldn't have been able to afford getting it fixed. Getting it fixed was a tremendous help. I filed the claim online and it was user-friendly. The contractors didn't follow through with their timeframe of contacting me and I had to reach back out to them, but then afterwards, I was given a timeframe. With Corona, it was kinda tough having to wait forever to get through Home Shield. I filed a claim for the AC and I ended up having to wait to speak to a service rep. Massanelli came out and the tech replaced the thermostat and did something else to the AC. It’s running good. The person that they sent out was pretty good. I like him because he would come back. The hot water heater rusted out. I called in a claim with AHS and the rep I spoke with was fantastic. They sent out Cogar Plumbing and everything went very well. The process was smooth as could be and easy. The techs were great and professional, too. They cleaned up behind themselves and were wearing masks the whole time. They had to replace the heater and it took two days to get the replacement.
Our AC stopped working. It was 85 degrees in the house. It was pretty miserable. At the end of the day, we figured out our AC was not working. I filed the claim the next morning. I did it through Home Shield's online portal. I was able to do it with no problem, and get information and confirmation right away. I was given a window of time when the contractor would come out. Our furnace wasn't working and even though it took a week for someone to come out, the guy that came was able to resolve the issue. The furnace is working fine now. My fiance said he did a fantastic job and that he was very nice and friendly. He was very pleased with him.
The dial of our dryer was broken. The website of AHS was great when I submitted a claim. The contractors were here quickly and solved the problem and were back out when they could get the heart and did it within 10 minutes. They were great.
I had to call to submit the claim and it seems like every time I call them, I'm on hold for at least an hour. When the contractor came out to inspect the AC, they were cautious and used the things to put on their feet. But they were unable to make the repair. They explained what needed it be done and gave me an estimate of what it would cost. Everett Service Company came out for an electrical issue. Their technician had the mask and he did safety precautions. The issue was both the switch and wires and he was able to fix them. I like the prompt service and the ease of access to go online. You don't have to talk to anybody. The tech always called before he would come and he was very courteous and quick. So, I enjoy them.
