Our AC unit wouldn't turn on or do anything. The American Home Shield handled it well when we called and put a claim in. The AC is working great now. Last month, H and J Heating and Air came out and checked our AC. They told us that what we needed to put another filter in and that the core was a little bit dirty. American Home Shield has been excellent for us so far. My wife handles most of the claim submissions and she's able to do and pay for everything online, so it's very user-friendly. We have the same guy from JG Mechanical who always comes out. We really like him 'cause he's very timely, gets everything done very professionally, and does great work.When we initially submitted the request, he called us to set up an appointment and was out here that same day. The plumber showed up on time, identfied himself and got right to work. I had multiple issues and he worked to get them resolved. All of my issues were resolved to my satisfaction.
Our house is now 10 years old and we've got a couple of things wrong like with our air conditioner. I told American Home Shield that my husband had open heart surgery. Also, I'm old. We're very concerned about having anybody. In the last two or three months, we couldn't have anyone in. We felt compromised with the COVID. The dial on my dishwasher where you turn it on had an issue. I talked to AHS about setting up an appointment for somebody to come. Then I got an email that said when to expect to hear from the company. Above and Beyond Appliance Repair was perfect. They went over and above and I would have them back. Six months after I bought our house, there was an issue with our hot water heater. I paid my co-pay with American Home Shield and their contractor came out and fixed the unit. I've been with AHS for about a year and a half now. I called in my claims with them and it was all automated. I haven't had an issue with their claims process. Burleson Services was assigned for an AC claim and everything was fine. The next day a tech came and that person explained everything well.
My furnace was making an unbalanced washing machine sound and I made a claim to American Home Shield. When I pulled up the app on the phone, it wasn't air conditioning because it was coming from the furnace itself. The air conditioner is the thing outside. I was going to select Furnace but there was nothing under Furnace for sound, so I selected Other. They dispatched the contractor and the guy found it weird that we have no heat but it's summer. ABNation scheduled the service within two hours from submitting the online claim. They were going to come out on the same day but I wasn't available. Their technician came out and he knew what he was doing. He took care of the issue and it didn't take too long. Also, he had a mask on and he kept his distance. I've been with American Home Shield for years and I have no complaints. Their representatives are great.
Our AC unit was low on Freon. Hospitality Heating and Air conditioning came out and fixed that. American Home Shield has been a lifesaver. When filing claims, I've used calling them and then doing it online. It's very easy. I've recommended it to a lot of my friends and colleagues to let them know that it's better to have it and not need it than need it and don't have it.
