The fridge was full of water in the icemaker. I had a claim with AHS and the contractors came out pretty quickly. Then we had to wait for a while for the parts to come in. After that, they fixed the problem, so we were able to use the icemaker. All in all, we were very satisfied.
Our hot water tank leaked, cracked, and broke. I notified American Home Shield through the website. Their website is quick and easy to navigate. It worked out really well and pretty quickly. The contractor from Tri County Plumbing is one of the best ones I've ever worked with. He was excellent. Everything has been good since they came out. It's pretty tough without a hot water tank. So the repair was crucially important.
Somebody told me about this wonderful company called American Home Shield and they kept pushing me until I finally decided to give them a call. I never had any issues but once I start paying them, then things will start happening. I call to submit my claims with American Home Shield. Sometimes, it could be hard but sometimes, you can get through. I had a claim for an electric issue, and they sent Palmer Electric out. The first guy did not solve the issue, but the second guy did. American Home Shield needs to work out a couple of bugs, but overall, they’re pretty good.
One of the AC units that we had was not blowing cold air. Optimo Air and Heat called within a couple of hours and we got something scheduled for the next day. They came out and checked the issue. They identified what was going on and they fixed it. A couple of days after, I noticed that there was water leaking from that very same unit. I submitted another claim and the same Optimo Air folks came out and identified the issue. They were able to kinda clean the unit so that it wouldn't leak water anymore. I called AHS to submit a claim and they said that they were gonna notify the contractor and the contractor sent me an email. I called the contractor and made an appointment and they came out. The drain was clogged. They fixed it and everything was back to perfect. I love American Home Shield. They couldn't have been better. They saved me so many times. The air conditioning broke. I like Home Shield. I've had them for over 10 years. The submitting a claim process has gotten a lot easier over the years. Doing it online makes it a lot simpler so I didn’t have to do the old school phone prompts or having to wait for someone. It's definitely easier submitting online. Being a single person, when something goes wrong, I don't have the repair knowledge. So, it's easy for me to call. I'm glad that they have places like American Home Shield where you can have an insurance for people like me where I'd rather pay for something that I can use rather than not have it. I had a dryer that didn't seem to be working and the contractor that came out was pleasant and respectful. Since the repair, the dryer seems to be working and we haven't had any issue. The claim was easy to do and it was nice that they came right to the house and everything was handled.
