The service of AHS has been great. Recently, a contractor came out for my appliance issue and he fixed what needed to be fixed. He was personable and he took care of the job. My dryer seems to be okay.
I was referred to American Home Shield by a friend that had a great experience with them. I went about their word and so far, they've been right. AHS is good. When their vendor, Foster's Heating and Air, came out for an AC problem, the tech was very professional which was awesome. He has a mask, gloves, and everything. I have had a lot of claims with American Home Shield and I haven't had a problem myself. Everything was well. One time, Kintz Electric came out and they were fine.
Our faucet was no longer fully working. The guy from Bay Breeze Plumbing came out, was able to diagnose the problem and got a new faucet. We also had an issue with another faucet down in a shower and he was able to fix that as well. American Home Shield worked out perfectly with us. We have them on a second home and it was three or four days before they could get out there, but that was the right timing for us ‘cause that was when we needed it. The air conditioner was doing a humming noise and it wouldn't come on. I called American Home Shield, and Central Heating & Air Conditioning called me. They gave me about a 10 to 15-minute warning that they were coming. I couldn't be there. I told them I was dropping off my sister off at the shop and another shop, so then they rescheduled me and said they'd be out here a little later on. Then by the time I got home, they were here. My refrigerator quit working and my dishwasher wasn't draining. American Home Shield sent out Martin's Appliance Repair. For the dishwasher, the service guy showed me how to get it to drain. It was still holding a lot of water in the bottom. When that happens, he showed me how to get that to drain properly. It was just a matter of him showing me how to get that backed up water to come out. So now I know what to do. But he said he couldn't fix the refrigerator because something inside of it was broken. South Placer Heating and Air came out within their window and not too late in the day. The technician was able to fix everything. He had the part in his car because it turned out to be a specialty part. So, that was good.
I submitted a claim on the website of AHS and it was quick and efficient. It said they would contact me within 24 hours after submission. My experience with the contractors that came was good. He did a great job. There were no real problems that were presented. He did everything perfectly. As far as fixing the problem, it worked. When he first looked at it, he told me what was wrong with it and that he would have to order the part. I'm glad we bought American Home Shield. We bought it when we bought the house. When the freezer on the refrigerator wasn't working, my claim for it went great. The Appliance Wizard technician was on time and friendly. He knew what he was doing and he got the job done.
