I've only used American Home Shield with this claim. The thing wasn't generating ice no matter what I did and I checked everything. This issue had been there since the first week we owned the house. This is the third time that the water was leaking behind the glass and running down the front of the freezer door, where we put our glass to get filtered water out. One panel is for water, one is for ice and one of them went bad. A technician came and he was good. It took a while for him to get the part though. My AC system went out. I submitted a claim with AHS and they sent out Fick's Mechanical. But by the time the tech got there, the air had adjusted itself. The AC was working fine and I didn't have a problem. But the tech was very nice and very presentable. I was also very pleased with AHS and I like that they will send someone out in a timely manner.
I contacted American Home Shield for a potential leaky situation for the furnace. They said that they would have someone to contact me, see what time was best to suit my needs and have a company come out. I got off the phone then someone called back. A person came in and they said they fixed the issue. Something was not right and American Home Shield sent someone back immediately to rectify the issue. The furnace appears to be okay as of now. I’m happy with his prompt service and professionalism. He was earlier than expected. As well as showing me how to take care of the air conditioner. While talking me through it he showed me part that he changed and everything.
I have two air conditioners and when they had problems, I submitted claims online with AHS. Their website was good and they sent out AC Pros. The contractors immediately got to me and said that they would have somebody out the following day between 5:00 and 9:00 in the evening. Then they called, said they were there early, and asked if that was okay. Their tech got here about mid-afternoon and he solved the problem with the first air conditioner. We had just moved into the house. After being in it for a week and a half, we noticed that our water heater wasn't working very well. I had a lot of mineral buildup in my water heater and then there was a bunch of corrosion on the outside of it. The overall experience went quite well. The only thing that I did not care for was that with my home having 2 ac units, I had to do an individual work order for each unit to have them both serviced at the same time.
My friend recommended American Home Shield to me and he was happy with them, which was why I switched over. I had another one before them and AHS is doing a better job for me in the last year whenever I've had them. I submitted the claim online and it went smoothly. They sent out a contractor fast. He was there for just a few minutes and he was nice. There was nothing broken on the trash compactor and he just had to show me how to restart it. Now I know what to do if it breaks down again.
