When the guys came out to deliver the new refrigerator, The new refrigerator had a water line behind it, and when one of the guys who delivered it turned the valve off to hook up the new water line, it started leaking. He tried to tighten the top of it to try fix the water leak. Then I just called Home Shield because I'm not a plumber. I let the people that know what the hell they doing do it. American Home Shield sent out somebody to fix my water heater about two months ago and the guy was very professional. My husband and I were thinking it was gonna get better, but our shower’s not cold anymore. It’s like they turned the heater down or something. The guy did tell us once we turned different faucets on, we would hear like a spouting until everything got back on track. But it never got hot again. It’s just warm and we don’t like warm showers. The garbage disposal started leaking. It took five days for the guy from Richards Plumbing to get time on his schedule to come out ‘cause he was probably the only one that American Home Shield use. I live out in the country. And he said that he was servicing everything in the county. He came out on a Tuesday, got the authorization for replacement on Wednesday, and replaced it on Thursday. AHS should have more contractors. But the contractors that I’ve dealt with have been very good. It's also pretty simple to submit claims.
AC went out and when I called their technician came out two days later and actually arrived earlier than the scheduled time!! Had me fixed in minutes..... very Informative and impressed with everything this time.
We noticed that we didn't have hot water so we called American Home Shield. They sent out NB Plumbing. They were kind of hard to get ahold of at first. They said on their answering machine that they had after-hours services. They didn't though. But once we were able to get ahold of them, they worked well with us and were able to get us on the schedule sooner because American Home Shield expedited it. I like American Home Shield's overall service. I'm glad I have them and I'm gonna keep them. A&R Complete Service did a great job and that was the second time they went out to my house. The first time the coolant was low and this time the entire motor shut down. I called and they offered to come out the following day but it wasn't convenient so we asked for the following day. They were always very professional, nice and on time. They call when they're coming over.
We submitted a claim for the AC through my account and then the contractor called me and gave me a decent time. The tech showed up right out when he should have. He was very polite. They did an awesome job. They were very professional. The AC has been working better than it did. I've noticed it's colder than it's been in a very long time. It's actually shutting off now and it stays at one temp it should.
The upstairs AC unit was not getting cool air. When I first called, the contractor said they would be out on Saturday. But they got here pretty fast. They hurried up and they found out that the thermostat was out. They told me what was wrong and they fixed it. I had good service from them. The contractors that AHS have seemed to know what they’re doing. They know their job. The work has been efficient and up to standards.
The freezer is having a problem with doing icemaker. They said they couldn't get the parts and that the parts weren't being made anymore. So they turned it over to a company. When I called the company, they said that when they can't get the parts, it's on American Home Shield's appliance department. I have been calling for over a week now. Every time I call, it tells me that it's gonna be a three-hour wait. One day, it took at least four hours and they still didn't come.
