When submitting claims, I go online, submit my problem, and tell Home Shield what kind of appliance and what the brand name is. Then, immediately, they assign someone to it. I had an AC issue and J & J was here the next day. The tech checked everything out inside and outside the house and made sure everything was okay. He did great work and I haven't had any problems.I tell others about American Home Shield but a lot of people don't want it because they're saying they can save the money and pay for it themselves. People don'... read more

They have been wonderful. They're always respectful and concerning. They always speak as though they're smiling. They get the work order out while we're still talking, which is amazing. Sometimes I get the work order trickle from the subcontractor almost as I hang up. With COVID right now, so many people are doing things to their houses so things are getting done that you have to wait for worker bees to come and help and do anything. But I am not experiencing that delay or that problem with American Home Shield. I've recomme... read more

The contractor had good customer service. They did the job right. My water heater wasn't up to code when they got here so American Home Shield paid for the new water heater then I had to pay for all the additions to make the water heater up to code. I recently got American Home Shield and everything seems to be okay so far. It's helping out quite a bit. The plumbing company's coming back out tomorrow to check on a leak below the house.

It's better to have a warranty than without and if you don't have it, you're going to be spending a lot of money. American Home Shield saves you a lot of money and they are extremely helpful. When I wasn't getting any hot water, I called them the day after and they were able to locate somebody. Then, they sent them out right away, which was good. The people that came knew what they were doing and they got done in a timely manner. I had no problems with that and my experience was very good.

I had American Home Shield before in my other house when they were charging $50 or less. I've had them on and off and when I got this house, after a while I decided I need to have them do it. I like the security of having them just in case. Sometimes they're a little bit different depending on the subcontractor. But they're great about sending usually the right contractor do the right job. I'm bad about that. If you really want the contractor you had before, they're good at sending them too.If a guy comes and fixes the toile... read more

The pool pump stopped working and the person from Expert Pools explained that it was a faulty relay that had to be replaced. So, he did that. The technician was a very nice person and respectful. It was a good service. He was very careful with social distancing and all those things. He did a good job and the pool equipment is working. We're new customers of American Home Shield but we're happy because it took just a few minutes to book this through online and then a couple of days for confirmation, the appointment, confirmin... read more

I was having a problem with our refrigerator. It’s a Frigidaire refrigerator and it's not terribly old. The electronic brain across the front was blinking number four on the refrigerator side, and the freezer side was number six. Everything in the freezer and the fridge all defrosted. We luckily have another fridge in the garage so we put all the goodies out there. We called American Home Shield then they sent out the Jea’s Appliance. The gentleman that came out was Steve and he was absolutely magnificent. He was also efficie... read more

I like that AHS is convenient. They always send somebody that's pretty good too. It's definitely worth the price. Recently, the contractors that came out for my refrigerator claim did great.

My shower wouldn't turn off. We've been having trouble with the handle for a while. We just have gotten by and got it to work as good as we can annoyingly. Finally, it just stopped turning. It was on. After I took a shower and then it wouldn't turn off. But for my plumbing set up, it has valves for each water supply so that I could cut off the shower and it was fine. I went online to submit a claim and it was straightforward. Their system didn't recognize my account one night. But it was just some issue they were having temp... read more
