My garbage disposal was broken. Northwest Sundance Services came out and were great. They scheduled easily. The guy was here before I anticipated and it took 20 minutes of the time. He just switched it out and was in and out. This is the first time that I've used American Home Shield since I purchased my condo. It’s pretty easy and having it is highly important. The sump pump wasn't turning off. There was an issue with the float, and so it effectively would just constantly run even if there wasn't water in the drain itself. So, we would have to unplug it to get it to stop running and then plug it in if we wanted it to run. I logged in to American Home Shield and filed the claim there. Their website was good. The contractors came out a total of three times for our claim. The first time, we talked. Then they came back to put a part. Then, whenever we would use the dishwasher, it was still leaking. So we had to call them to come back out again and fix it. The first time I submitted the claim with AHS, it was easy-breezy. The second time, I was not able to do it online and I had to call. I was on hold forever. But they ended up calling me back to get the appointment scheduled.
I had 2 claims with American Home Shield within 2 days at 2 different properties and both worked out fine. I’m purchasing a house on Friday and I'm using American Home Shield again.
AHS was gifted to me by the owner of the house that I'm now selling and so I continued and I liked their service. The house inspector found that issue with the hot water heater. There was a water line that needed to be replaced and recirculation in the line. The contractor that AHS sent did an excellent job. We were getting a tune-up on the AC and we went through American Home Shield. The technician did a good job but the cleaning didn't meet standards. He sprayed the AC but when I looked down in it, I still saw debris. We have been associated with AHS for 15 years and if we have a difficulty with a person or a company that comes out, we call them, report it and corrective action is taken. There was a leak in my closet which was coming from my guest restroom. There were some pipes in there that had like an elbow, and it was leaking from there. SDL Plumbing did the repair on the same day and everything’s fine.
The toilets were not flushing. We had leaks on the faucets. I submitted the claim with Home Shield on the phone. They then said that the person will contact me when they get a chance to contact, and they did. Neal's Plumbing came out. The tech checked out all of the toilets. I liked the way that Neal just came in and told me what was wrong. I said, “Okay,” then he went and fixed it. I sent in a claim for the plumbing in the toilet and the next day, the contractor was out here. It was a quick response and everything was good. AHS makes sure that everything's taken care of. I like them.
