Everything was good when Alste Electric came out. I had three separate outlets. The outlets did not work. Either one or both of the plugs did not work. The technician was great. He fixed it easily and was in and out quickly. I like the convenience of having American Home Shield and the quickness of getting a technician.
Everything with Shields Plumbing went all right. When they came out, they fixed the issue and not even two days later, we had more problems. American Home Shield doesn't pay for them to go on top of the roof. So instead of calling them back and going through them, we just called another plumber to come out here, and pay them the 150 because that's how much it's gonna initially cost us with the $75 on top of what they charge to go on top of the roof. We had an issue and RG Plumbing & Rooter came out. After I called them, they were there the next day. The took care of the issue so I had no problems at all.
When the tech came out, he was really good with the way he was explaining to me about the parts and how to take care of it better myself. He had a mask and separate shoes when he came here. It's easy to submit claims to AHS and I really like the service. I always tell people about them and that they should get them.
AHS is pricey. When I had a home warranty in Houston, it was less expensive and it covered more. But they're very pleasant when you call to make an appointment. I get the email or text from whoever's coming out. I got an email from AHS about, “Do your AC checkup.” I called about 10 days later and the AC checkup availability was gone. I didn't like that they didn't seem to advertise that much and they didn't give you very long to get in there.
I've had three different work orders that I had put in since I've had American Home Shield and I've been completely satisfied where they have exceeded my expectations. Submitting claims has been extremely easy. I can either do it by phone or online, and I choose to do it online. My husband submitted our claim through American Home Shield. The faucet in the master bath was broken and the tech that came out installed a new faucet in there. Everything was fine.
Home Shield makes it easy to go ahead and file something to get it going. My other home policy that I had before was horrible. I tried Home Shield, and after that, we're good where we're at now. However, it took four days for them to get someone out here for me. I had to call back on that one. They said it would be two days to get someone to call so I waited two days and I called them the third day. The toilet downstairs was leaking and it was bolted into the concrete or tile. It needed to be replaced and drilled out. Dan's Plumbing sealed it off and fixed the leak behind the toilet for the new tube. So everything’s secure and working fine now. The plumber was very professional. I’ve had American Home Shield for about a year and three months and they’ve been good with every problem I've had. They've been excellent.
