The capacitor of the AC was out so it wasn't working. The technician from ES Heat and Air came out. He was great. He just rolled up, fixed it super quickly, and then left. He was probably 15 minutes in total.
I submitted a claim with AHS because the air was not blowing at all. It’s hot downstairs, but everything else was okay. The gentleman that AHS sent was professional. He fixed my issue. He was quick, I did it over my lunch break and was back at work. The initial issue was finding the scheduled time with the company that was coming out. I didn't really like that, but we worked it out. We got it done. For my first claim with AHS, it was awesome. I have no complaints.
A family member of mine had American Home Shield. I had a sump pump go out and I shared it with her. She recommended that I get American Home Shield so I did. I've been with American Home Shield for three years now and their contractors usually get on the claim. HCD plumbing company came out recently and they were good. They had to come back once to rectify the issue and it was fixed. We were satisfied.
American Home Shield has been very responsive so far and they're taking care of the things they needed to. A long time ago, they were one of the original ones that did a good job. Then other people came on board and I've had a couple of instances where these other people didn't want to pay for stuff. I’ve had to fight them over it and I didn't like that at all. The contractors that I've had with AHS were very good.
Overall, with Home Shield, we've had really good service and fairly good luck with contractors that have been sent out. We had multiple electrical things like switches, a fan that wasn't working right, and a front light auto timer that had failed, so we just replaced it with a switch. Something got dropped regarding either ordering parts or not getting on the right list. It took quite a long time. The claims process was really easy and smooth. I called on not the most convenient of times and AHS got everything set up. The company that they sent to me was in contact with me within minutes. Carolina Air Heating and Cooling came out for an AC issue. The guy found the problem up in the rafters with that system and he replaced the motor. It worked great for about a week or two and then it started getting hot in here. It was blowing air but it wasn't cold. I needed my Air Unit fixed, they sent someone out right away. The company they sent did a really good job. 3 Generations , was a very professional company, who cared about me and my unit.
The air conditioner was not working. We were not getting enough cold air. The tech was able to repair it the same day. He was friendly. He got there on time and he fixed the problem. Everything was good. I liked that it was taken care of right away, even if it was a Saturday. I had to pay a little extra, but it was taken care of.
