There was another company that we’re a member with who came out and saw that the capacitor was insufficient and needed to be replaced. We used American Home Shield to have their contractor come out and do it. My wife dealt with him most of it but I caught him at the end and he seemed friendly and knowledgeable. Everything’s good.

We were all night and all day at 118 degrees but what I'm aggravated about is it took the guy about 15 minutes to diagnose the problem and put a new capacitor in it, and American Home Shield charged me $100 for it. I didn't know I had a deductible to pay to have services come out. I thought I pay the insurance and if something went wrong, they'd fix it. They had charged me money for something that caused them about 40 bucks between the capacitor and 15 minutes it took the guy to fix it and put the new capacitor in. I filled ... read more

2 Sons Plumbing came out to fix some dripping exterior faucets. They were top-notch. Unfortunately, one of the things started dripping again and they're coming back out to warranty that. I also had them look at two interior faucets that were sending rusty water through. They're galvanized pipes coming out of the wall and if you don't use that bathroom for three or four days and you first turn it on, you get rusty water. They sat for a while and said that was not something they would take care of. They said that's something t... read more

I've had American Home Shield for two and a half years on my properties and I've been satisfied. I would recommend it to my family and friends.

The process of AHS is very simple. Recently, I had to have Myers Comfort Specialist come out twice for an AC issue. It wasn't a big deal though. It was just there was an overflow trip valve and he fixed it. But then the next day, it happened again. I just made another appointment and he came back out and fixed it again. I haven't had any problems with them.

Everything was fine once the technician got here. The AC would blow cold air out, then it'd stop for a few hours. He fixed it the same day he came and everything's working right. I also had American Home Shield when I was in Kansas, and I'm fine with their work. They did a great job.

We have two central units and the blower on one of them stopped working. We called the number that we had on our paperwork from when we bought the house and American Home Shield did the processing from there. They said they were gonna get ahold of their contractor and forward the request to them. At the time that we had called and started to let them know that we needed something serviced, we didn't get a timeframe. A day or two later, we ended up getting a call from the contractor.A tech with Climate Experts came out and ha... read more

My garbage disposal froze up and I couldn't get it to come on. It sounded like it was grinding and clicking but it wasn't working. I submitted a claim to American Home Shield and their tech from Infinity Plumbing showed up. He checked out my disposal and he had to use a tool that goes underneath to reset the blades. He showed me what to do if the problem happens next time. I've been with Home Shield for 20 years now and I've called them out for appliances, my AC, heating and plumbing. They've even fixed my ice maker in my re... read more

American Home Shield was advertised on Fox one day and I thought, “Why not waste a little more money on more insurance?" So, we got it. The AC wasn’t coming on and my wife thought it smelled funny that night. I didn’t think anything of it but when I got up the next morning, it was 76 degrees inside the house. I went outside and the air conditioning compressor was just humming. I submitted the claim online to American Home Shield and the website was simple to navigate. It said that I would be contacted within a certain number... read more
