The ice maker in the refrigerator quit cooling. I called American Home Shield and everything went really well. The technician had to order a part and it was done at the most, a week. I was amazed at how fast everything took place, how you'd pay your $100 right up front and they came, and how professional everybody was from AHS to Jeff.
We got a referral from someone saying that American Home Shield was really good so we went with them. Recently, GM Appliance Services came out and they were quick, real neat and professional. The guy came out the first time to look at the washing machine then he determined that it couldn't be fixed. He then put in a request for it to be replaced. When the request went in, it took almost two weeks before we heard back from someone. I've tried to call several times and I had a hard time getting through. Eventually, someone cal... read more
The contractors that came out were good. They got here on time and they fixed my air conditioner. We've had three issues. It was a switch, the capacitor and then our damper motor had to be replaced. We're still waiting for the motor for the damper, but it's because of all the shipping is behind these days. I like that I can do most things online with AHS. It's just that if I have a big problem that I need help with, it's hard to get anybody on the phone. Also, the plumbers take too long to get here. But I like American Home ... read more
Seabolt’s Heating and Cooling is always nice to work with. He always answers the phone when I call to ask questions. He's really good about coming out if there's a problem, like when they installed the AC unit, it didn't work and he called to follow up and check. I said it did not work so then he came back. We all stayed far away from each other and then they didn't wear masks, but I didn't feel like they had done anything bad. However, I'm not particularly happy with American Home Shield right now. It's been three months and... read more
The technicians that AHS has sent out are top-notch. But sometimes the availability is not there. It takes a while for the technicians to come and install or whatever. They could also improve on their price. When the string popped in our garage door, we had Garage Doors and More come out. They were very professional and they fixed it within no time.
California Appliance had to come out twice to fix the refrigerator and they fixed it. The technicians were good. The coverage makes it easy to pick up the phone, call AHS, and somebody comes out.
The contractor handled my recent claim very well and it was pretty timely, considering the virus. They were very professional. The refrigerator was clogged. I've had the refrigerator for 20 years and I never cleaned it. Apparently, there's a tiny little valve hose that's hidden behind the light fixture and you pull it out and you have to probe it out with a butter knife, and then there's this little hose inside, which was clogged and that was causing the bottom of the refrigerator inside to fill with water. We had no air conditioning, so I went online and submitted a claim to American Home Shield. They sent out contractor A. Contractor A came out and erroneously claimed that the condenser was dead and needed to be replaced and that the reason that the condenser had died was that it was a replacement condenser, not the original one. When it had been installed, they only secured it with two of the four bolts at the base. I don't know anything about air conditioning, but I'm a research scientist and I fiddle around with a lot of f... read more
