The contractor handled my recent claim very well and it was pretty timely, considering the virus. They were very professional. The refrigerator was clogged. I've had the refrigerator for 20 years and I never cleaned it. Apparently, there's a tiny little valve hose that's hidden behind the light fixture and you pull it out and you have to probe it out with a butter knife, and then there's this little hose inside, which was clogged and that was causing the bottom of the refrigerator inside to fill with water. We had no air conditioning, so I went online and submitted a claim to American Home Shield. They sent out contractor A. Contractor A came out and erroneously claimed that the condenser was dead and needed to be replaced and that the reason that the condenser had died was that it was a replacement condenser, not the original one. When it had been installed, they only secured it with two of the four bolts at the base. The man that came out was very nice from US AIR COND. he checked the unit inside and outside. Told me he would need to place a order for unit inside the coils is the problems but would have to go thru AMERICAN HOME SHIELD TO get it. Approved So he could Get my air condition working again.......didn"t see a problem it happens to the unit. Thank you.....hoping to get it fixed soon......
AG Appliance Repair was fine. The man diagnosed the problem straightaway and ordered the parts. The parts came in in a little less than two weeks and they came back and fixed the appliances. I'm very pleased with American Home Shield. It's nice to have that coverage.
The air conditioning stopped cooling. It was extremely easy to set up the appointment online, and within seconds, AHS sent me the name of the company that they were going to have come out. I just called them and made an appointment. The technician from Moore Air gave me a window of 10:00 to 2:00 and he showed up at 10:03. It took him about 10 minutes to fix it. The refrigerator had water leaking all over the floor. I called American Home Shield, paid the $75 that I normally have to pay, and they contacted somebody in Suffolk, Virginia. The contractor came out and they fixed it. The temperature control was faulty and they replaced it. They were very concerned because of this coronavirus situation with masks and gloves. Everything went wonderful. Everything’s working great.
We had an issue with our water heater and Blue Star Plumbing came out. They took care of it and fixed it. Everybody at American Home Shield has been good, very thorough, and professional. I've had really good luck with them.
I feel very good about having a home warranty that covers the major expenses of maintaining my older home. The response is immediate when I request service and the professionals who come in response to my service request are efficient and very helpful.
When Myers came out, they couldn't do the job. They told me what was wrong with the unit that I had. American Home Shield had to get somebody else to do the job, but I've always used Myers. I have no problem with them. An electrician from another company came out and he fixed the problem. It was the air conditioner. What happened was I had another company to put that box in, and they didn't tie in all those screws down inside of that box.
