Easy to request a service call online. Repair person was prompt and solved my air conditioning problem. Very professional.

I had American Home Shield when I first moved in the house and then, we went with another company. I picked back up with American Home Shield in May. My garage door wasn't working properly. It wasn't letting up and down, and it was flashing light. I went online and submitted my claim to AHS and somebody got in touch with me the very next day. The contractor came out the day after that. So, it was rapid. The guy changed a couple of sensors on the garage door for me and it's still working perfectly fine.

The service from All Hours Emergency Plumbers was impeccable. My garbage disposal went on the fritz and the technician came out, checked it out, couldn't get it going and replaced it. It took him about half an hour but he had everything on his truck. Overall, my experience with American Home Shield so far has been pleasant.

Our unit would come on and blow air, but the house was hot. The thermostat would read that the house is 80 degrees and it was set on 72, so it wasn't cooling at all. I did a claim online and someone called within 30 minutes of me filing it, and he was assigned to the case. We then had someone to come out the same day, which was perfect. On that particular day though, the tech wasn't able to do anything or didn't determine anything. When I called back again within the same week, the person I talked to had someone to come out ... read more

We just moved into this house and I wasn't quite sure about the electrical setup. The house was built in 1974 and there were some light switches that were out or if they weren't out, I didn't know which switch worked what. On a Tuesday, I called American Home Shield and talked to someone to submit a claim. I got an appointment for that Thursday between 2:30 and 3:30 and Mr. ** of Crabtree Electric & Construction was there at 2:30 on the dot.The way the house was wired (in some instances, between rooms), was wonky. For instan... read more

There was something wrong with the casing on the motor of my pool pump and ABNation came out a few months ago. They replaced the casing and then, the pipes started leaking. So, they came back and fixed that leak. Recently, they came back because the same pipes were leaking. Right now, that issue has been fixed and ABNation did what they were supposed to do. There was another claim that I had and A.G. Williams came twice. Two weeks ago, I put in another claim for a follow-up for what they were doing and I haven't got a respon... read more

The pan in the air conditioning unit up in the attic overflowed and water went through the ceiling. James from the contractor, Changing Winds Heating, came out. He was great, personable, knowledgeable, and quick. He cleared the lines and dried everything up. The actual components of the unit itself were not broken but he repaired the issue that was causing the water to remain in the pan.

We have AHS policies for both of our households and have had since 2002. Overall, we are so thankful that we do. The hardest part of having the policies is waiting for service and communication from the service provider. Otherwise, we have no real complaints. Having AHS in place helps relieve the fear of malfunctions of our homes. That is especially important as we age.
