North Wind Heating and Air was excellent. They were professional, friendly and quick. They fixed the AC unit and it wasn't quite right. Something else went wrong within hours of them being here. They came back within an hour and fixed it. American Home Shield is great. They're working on other items in our house. I had been a member years ago then I decided I needed it again. The seal around my refrigerator was loose and that took about three weeks to get fixed. Advanced Appliance Service had to order the parts and then they came back and put them in. But I didn't complain because that was out of his control. The only problem I had was that they had to cancel the appointment twice. Then I had to make the call to the company myself and reschedule, which was different because American Home Shield always set up the appointment. We had an issue with one of the burners on our stove. The company that AHS sent was fine. The technician looked at it. It's a ceramic top. He said it needed a new burner, so he'd have to order it. He left, and then he ordered it and came back. It took about 10 days to get it. Then he came and put it in, and went on his merry way. The tech from J Morgan came out and tried to get things repaired on the refrigerator. But things are not working on it. He said he was going to submit everything to American Home Shield and they would be reaching out to me on either giving us a check for the amount to buy a refrigerator of the same caliber or to help us select that model and get it delivered. My dryer quit working and my refrigerator was leaking. It took a little while for Pro Appliance to get in touch with me. Then the date they were supposed to originally come out for the mobile assessment was the day that we had all that crazy phone thing where nobody could call anybody, and there was no contact. So they didn't come out to the house twice because of the epidemic. But they couldn't get in touch with us and we couldn't get in touch with them. So we just postponed it to the next day. My furnace quit working. But I can't go down our four-foot space under the house and look at stuff. So we had All Season Climate Control come out and look at the furnace. The cover had fallen off. The cover has to be on and the safety switch is intact before the furnace will fire. I feel comfortable with American Home Shield and it's very easy to submit claims with them.
The American Home Shield service is the best I've received from any home warranty company. They did everything right away. I've had air conditioning problems before. With other warranty companies, it is normally days before anything gets done. With American Home Shield, the problem was discovered late in the afternoon and all I did was just go online and submit a claim and by 8 o'clock the next morning, I received a phone call and before 9 o'clock, Anders Air Conditioning was at my house fixing it. American Home Shield sent Awesome Appliance Repair to repair my washing machine. As far as doing a claim, the process is fine as long as they come to the phone. It took two hours for them to come to the phone for a few times. I don’t like that part. It was terrible. Also, before Awesome came out, AHS sent somebody else and I didn't like it. They’ve been out to my house four times for the same project. I have all excellent services with American Home Shield and it's easier making a claim with them. I have done it both online and over the phone. The last time, I went online. In a couple of days, someone from Legum's Heating and Cooling came out to put my compressor in. Before Legum was assigned to me, Danny came. All the technicians who were ever sent out gave excellent service and explained to me what was wrong with my unit, what needed to be done, and why they were doing what they were doing. They kept me updated too.
