We heard a loud pop and saw that our garage door spring had pulled loose from the wall and gone up into our ceiling. I submitted a claim online to American Home Shield and they responded to me right away. The email I got after I submitted my request gave me the information on the contractor and the opportunity to contact them directly if I wanted to. I contacted them and the guy from Reliable Garage Doors got back to me. Their techs were at my place the next day and they fixed the spring. They did a great job and I was very ... read more

I have American Home Shield for years and years. Sometimes, they do something and sometimes, they say, "No, there is nothing to do. Everything is working great." We end up going with somebody else outside and try to get a second opinion. Sometimes, we fix it through other sources other than American Home Shield. American Home Shield is pretty good but unfortunately, sometimes when they hire certain people that are not willing to go the extra mile to do the job or have a certain limitation because they're not gonna be paid in... read more

I live in Florida and New Jersey and that's where I am now in the summer. In New Jersey, a couple who I know had the air conditioning go. One of the people I know here said they had a furnace go. I was concerned about it and talked to someone here. He said he has American Home Shield. He also said they cover everything. I didn't get it for New Jersey ‘cause I left but I bought it instead when I got down to Florida. We bought a house a number of years ago. It had this beautiful sink, kind of an antique type sink with this nice... read more

The electrician that came out to work on the Whirlpool tub found the problem in the control panel that made the tub work. The problem is the control panel itself doesn't work. You have to take the face off it and stick your finger in there to operate the Whirlpool tub still. He had said that he was going to deal with American Home Shield and order one of those and he has not. I've tried to reach out to American Home Shield about it but I haven't gotten any response. Also, it takes forever to try to call somebody on the phone... read more

When I bought my house, it came with a one year home warranty program with American Home Shield. The year will be up in October. Creating a service request with them is as simple as can be. I made one when my air conditioner stopped working. Myers Comfort Specialist of Montgomery came out and they replaced the fan. It was awesome and a great experience. It was the second time I used American Home Shield. I wanna renew my warranty with them. I was gonna wait till August to call to see if I could renew it.

American Home Shield has been good so far. Everything was fine with our claim for the outside AC unit. The contractor showed up on time and fixed everything in probably an hour the same day.

I have an older home and I've had a home warranty on it before. With AHS, It's great to be able to call. Recently, we were having problems with our electrical wiring and a couple of outlets were affecting light switches. We submitted a claim and Home Shield sent MCI Making Continuous Improvements. The tech from there was awesome. He figured stuff out and got everything rolling perfectly. There had been a short and luckily, the tech came because it could have been a fire. He replaced what had to be replaced and got things dow... read more

My management company was managing my property and they had their own maintenance department. Every time something went wrong, I had to use their maintenance people and they charged 10% of what their maintenance people had to do at that property. I wanted to take that away from them and the first thing that I thought about was American Home Shield. I got them and the claim where Fick’s Mechanical came out went pretty well. I was very pleased with it. I wish the appointment was a lot sooner but once they got there, they got t... read more

My dryer wouldn't come on. If we push the button to start it, nothing happens. I filed the claim through my app and I love that app. However, I clicked through the link. I think I created an online account then I just did it online and they assigned a company to come out. Tucker Appliance Repair sent someone then he contacted me before he got there. I wasn't at home at the time, my daughter was there and she had high remarks. She thought the guy was very great, professional, courteous, and fixed it very quickly. The repair m... read more
