We heard a loud pop and saw that our garage door spring had pulled loose from the wall and gone up into our ceiling. I have American Home Shield for years and years. Sometimes, they do something and sometimes, they say, "No, there is nothing to do. Everything is working great." I live in Florida and New Jersey and that's where I am now in the summer. In New Jersey, a couple who I know had the air conditioning go. One of the people I know here said they had a furnace go. I was concerned about it and talked to someone here. He said he has American Home Shield. He also said they cover everything. The electrician that came out to work on the Whirlpool tub found the problem in the control panel that made the tub work. The problem is the control panel itself doesn't work. You have to take the face off it and stick your finger in there to operate the Whirlpool tub still. He had said that he was going to deal with American Home Shield and order one of those and he has not. I've tried to reach out to American Home Shield about it but I haven't gotten any response. When I bought my house, it came with a one year home warranty program with American Home Shield. The year will be up in October. Creating a service request with them is as simple as can be. I made one when my air conditioner stopped working. Myers Comfort Specialist of Montgomery came out and they replaced the fan. It was awesome and a great experience. It was the second time I used American Home Shield. I wanna renew my warranty with them. I was gonna wait till August to call to see if I could renew it.
American Home Shield has been good so far. Everything was fine with our claim for the outside AC unit. The contractor showed up on time and fixed everything in probably an hour the same day.
I have an older home and I've had a home warranty on it before. With AHS, It's great to be able to call. Recently, we were having problems with our electrical wiring and a couple of outlets were affecting light switches. We submitted a claim and Home Shield sent MCI Making Continuous Improvements. My dryer wouldn't come on. If we push the button to start it, nothing happens. I filed the claim through my app and I love that app. However, I clicked through the link. I think I created an online account then I just did it online and they assigned a company to come out. Tucker Appliance Repair sent someone then he contacted me before he got there.
