We submitted a claim online with AHS because one of the stove burners was busted, so the electricity doesn’t heat. The heating element was broken. While I was on the website of AHS, they told me that GE was notified and I would get the guy to come tomorrow. GE is the best company which was associated with American Home Shield. It’s top-of-the-line. The technician did whatever he promised. He came the following Friday, came back and replaced the broken parts. Everything is working fine so far. It allowed us to prepare food a ... read more

We like working with American Home Shield. However, the wait time sometimes to get someone to answer is lengthy. But I know with the pandemic, it’s everywhere. Other than that, we haven't had any issues with any of their contractors.

The line on the AC was clogged and there was no way we could get to that line. The AC would work but there was water coming out of the unit and it was upstairs so it was leaking all over the place. We filed a claim with Home Shield and TradeMasters came out. The tech did what he had to do and checked everything after that. It didn’t take him long. I tell everybody if they own their home that they should have American Home Shield. I swear by it. The initial payment is usually all you pay until it's fixed or replaced. I've had... read more

The submission and payment process with American Home Shield have all been fine although sometimes, when I put in a request, there's not always an option to put in more detail. So, when the plumber or the contractor does call, I have to either repeat or they are looking for more information. There should be an opportunity to put that in the request form beforehand or ahead of time. But everybody has been very respectful and helpful. Sometimes, I don't always love paying $75 every time somebody comes up but I know that’s way ... read more

If you have appliances, you need them covered if they're no longer on warranty, and American Home Shield seems to figure out how to get stuff fixed or replaced quickly. I bought a house three years ago and coverage with them was part of the Coldwell Banker package. They got me into the program based on the sale of the house, and I kept it because it was such an incredible program. One time, I did a claim online and the site was very user-friendly. I was told to expect the contractor within 24 hours and then Urban Electric ca... read more

The air conditioner was blowing hot air and the technicians who came were very informative and professional. I've had coverage with American Home Shield for a couple of years and they’ve helped me out. Even when I called them back for certain instructions or something because we accidentally locked out the system. They were very helpful and sent me the manual for the thermostat through email, so I had the instructions.

Texpro Plumbing was able to fix my leaky pipe in about 10 minutes. They were in and out real quick. That claim was the first one I had to make with Home Shield and everything was simple and easily done. Everything was great.

The AC wouldn't come on. The motor went out on the fan on the unit outside. It's easy to submit a claim with Home Shield. A-1 Service came out after a few days. All good so far.

Our 17 year old double door Kenmore refrigerator went out suddenly. This was my very first call to AHS and is the best investment I\'ve made since the passing of my husband. After paying my co-pay I was immediately contacted and given a schedule day/time. The Service Tech that came out had 15 years experience and I felt very confident he knew what he was doing. Thank God it was only a bad relay! He also said our refrigerator would give us many more years of use and that I didn\'t need to buy a new one. I was very, very impre... read more
