I stuck with American Home Shield and they have been fine to me so far. They're prompt. I filed a claim when the AC wasn't cooling. They told me they would contact me about 24 to 48 hours, which they did. Everything was good with the contractor.
My neighbor kept telling me that I needed some kind of insurance. I never did listen to him until one winter, my heating system got frozen. After that, I became a member with American Home Shield. I called in a few times and whoever the contractor was came and took care of business, so I've had no issues. They're knowledgeable and helpful. They talk to you while they're doing the work.
After purchasing our home, my wife wanted to make sure our locks were reset. When I first got my home warranty over the phone, the AHS rep whom I spoke with asked if I'd be interested in having my locks changed. I was told that it was fairly quick for their contractors to contact me and set up an appointment. I had another warranty company that I was not satisfied with before and I didn't like the way they did business, so I went to American Home Shield. I called American Home Shield when the AC wasn't getting cool. The reps were nice, cordial, and businesslike. The contractor contacted me within 48 hours to set up an appointment and within four or five days, they were here. The tech knew what he was doing. He also knew American Home Shield’s requirements as well. So he did what he was supposed to do.
I have been with ahs for years and have always been given great service..the agents have always been professional and know how to treat their customers well...
I placed my need for a visit on the web site. Website said that contractor would contact with in 24 business hours. I had a call within the hour and a same day visit!!!! DANG! Didn't expect such prompt service. Contractor (Plumbing as my water heater took a dump for the 2nd time in 3 years) came in identified the problem and had it fixed within a hour. Holy Fantastic service!
American Home Shield sent Service-all for an AC issue. They were the ones who came out and actually fixed the situation. I had another company assigned to do the job, but they never called. I called and left messages for them. So I called American Home Shield and told them, “Hey, the people who originally got the contract to do it didn't respond,” and American Home Shield, immediately that day, when we're on the phone, got the company that did come out and fix it. We’re happy with American Home Shield. When we submitted our claim, we were able to get through real quickly. We were able to talk to somebody, and we got our claim handled very quickly which is good. Sometimes we really can't get somebody who will fix our problem because of COVID-19, but that's to be expected. I had a good experience with Dirt Cheap Appliance Repair. I enjoyed the service guy. When he called, he was on his way. He came on the day within the timeline that he said that they were gonna be here, and he got right to work. He was very friendly and asked me if I had any questions. He was very informative and showed me what the problem was. He showed me the damaged part and the new part that was being put in. He gave me a few tips and hints about my dishwasher.
