I have had a good experience with AHS. Usually within a couple of hours of submitting my request for repair a company has been assigned. I have not had any issues with the companies that have come to service my appliances, units, etc. If you have an older home this is a great warranty to have.
AHS was recommended by a friend. The contractors that came out recently for our claim were very efficient. They diagnosed it pretty quickly, replaced the motherboard, and they didn't have to take everything apart. They just took out the back of the refrigerator up top, and then they put it back together, reset it, and we were able to use it until they got the part in. When I turned on my air conditioner, it was not functioning. I did a claim through the online service that they have available and it was fast and easy. The website was really good. I was using a telephone to do claims and it worked just fine on the telephone, so I was very pleased. I was given noon to 5 o'clock. Initially, on the Friday, I got a call and they told me they had a cancellation. They asked me if I could do an earlier date and they gave me the same window. Complete Air got the air conditioner working for not even a day, then it stopped working. It's a good thing that my husband went out there because they could have started a fire in my house. The unit was hot to the touch so he had to shut the unit off. We had to call American Home Shield back to tell them they had to send somebody else or they had to send them back. I've been a member of American Home Shield for about 15 years. They're not as good as they used to be. They're a little more expensive than they used to be and they find ways to not cover stuff. But overall, if one will ask me who to go with, American Home Shield is all I know. They're good. I'm in the car business and I know what warranty companies do to people. So, they're different. AHS is just great. I tell all my friends and family to sign up all the time.
I had a clogged toilet that stayed clogged for weeks. The technician that AHS sent came out and it took him a little bit of elbow grease and a very strong industrial size, strength snake and a plunger for a while. He said there was something really stuck in there. I don't know what it was, but it was fine. He took care of it. However, we had to reschedule a couple of times, and thank goodness I had a second bathroom. So, it was okay. But it was an emergency type service, so sometimes stuff happens. American Home Shield has come through with every request that I’ve had. There was no severe headache and no complaints. All Hours Appliance Repair repaired my oven in my kitchen and it's working perfectly now. It had stopped heating and so, as I always do, I went through the American Home Shield website, which was fine. They kept me updated as far as the appointment scheduling and the contractor was topnotch in staying in communication when they had to order the part. It went well.
