I like that when I put in a claim, I got a response and a contractor in a timely manner. I have been with other companies and their service was terrible. In one case I had to wait several days to be contacted by a contractor and then when they finally came, I had to wait for over 45 days for them to take care of the problem. My realtor told me that AHS was reliable and so far, she has been right. The cost for service is a little higher than other home warranty companies that I have used ($100 vs $75 or lower) but overall, it... read more

We have had very good and very bad experiences with American Home Shield. Some of their repair companies concoct false information about the situation in order to exclude the repair from coverage. However, some of the repair companies are excellent. It’s luck of the draw.
problem was discovered with my dishwasher and replaced with a new one.
The service received from technician Sherimane. He was very professional and courteous.

Overall, VERY pleased with AHS and their services. Have been a customer for 30+ years and have received excellent service, repairs, and replacements for covered appliances. The ONLY reason I am not giving 5 stars is that the online and phone automated process makes it nearly impossible to speak to a human: and therefore also impossible to request a preferred service provider.
I like that whenever I have an issue, they always have contact me right away to get the issue resolved
